I guess you could say lately in my private life I'm coming to terms with the fact that complaining about a problem rarely fixes anything.
We wouldnt complain on a basketball website unless we cared and thought the Knicks were even a small part of our lives. But Unless youre Rod Thorn and have Vince Carter land in your lap, or a cancer patient and are healed miraculously, you have to be open-minded, patient, hard-working, and optimistic.

Things arent perfect. Our best player isn't an All-Star, our GM isn't exactly RC Buford, and our owner makes Jerry Jones look good.
But things ARE better than they were with Layden. There's hope. I'll concede to that.
We could've taken the conservative way out and taken a wrecking ball to this thing 3 years ago, but that's the past and people make mistakes...........even BIG ones.
The organization decided to semi-rebuild. It's the longer more grueling choice, but it was the one that was made, and now we have a bunch of 20-somethings with lots of potential.

The pieces may not fit together yet, but there's motivation from US FANS for them to get better.
Instead of looking to hide these young players' faults (like Eddy's shotblocking), we need to be patient and expect him to work on it. He's only 23, and the mere fact that he's playing 35+ minutes a night so far is proof that some of that potential can be unleashed.
Isiah is the perfect man to do that. Just like he did with Brad and Jermaine.

I also wanna add that things like IQ is something I believe you CANT change. You can add dimensions to your game like a jumpshot, and can learn the rules and system better, but we cant and shouldnt expect Eddy to be Larry Bird out there.
We should expect him to play longer, harder, and learn from his mistakes.
I'm also a big advocate of starting David Lee and moving Frye to backup C/PF b/c Lee is one of the players on this team with a high basketball IQ. You can't teach that.
He's what I consider a "ROGUE REBOUNDER". He's not Boozer or Gooden. As Curry shapes up more and more, and adds more to his game, he'll learn to muscle his body in the paint for rebounds. Lee is a finesee rebounder. He's a gazelle, and Curry could greatly benefit from a guy like that, especially someone who anticipates things and passes the ball selfelssly.

Finally, what I'm noticing is that b/c we're guard heavy with guys that like to take alot of shots and who are turnover prone, that won't help our situation much. It's not that we need a pass-first PG (although that could never hurt), but we need to decide who among those 4 combo guards we should keep.
Curry is a turnover prone Center, except he's our future in the paint and we can't afford to jeopardize his development.
Between Crawford, Marbury, and Francis, we should really look to trade 1, maybe even 2 of them.
That obviously won't happen right away, b/c their trade value is mostly down. But it's something that has to happen I believe. The more shots they take and turnovers they make, the less opportunites for Frye and Curry.
The reason I don't add Nate is b/c he's still young, b/c he's a good distance shooter, and b/c he brings the same energy Lee and Balkman bring.
In ending I wanna say, for all 4 of you that read this -- I'm not a hater, I'm not a homer.....
I'm a Knick fan.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure.
And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
