YOu can even take a positive approach(so that you don't upset those with the low self-esteem) and say that even when this duo starts rocking, it still doesn't make sense to have four guards that all do the same things. We struggle with our perimeter defense so dealing one of them to help our perimeter(or our interior defense) just makes sense. Ask yourself this question: If we traded one of the four and got a player who's defense is equal to the offense that we gave up, would it make us better or worse? If you outright cut one of the four would it really make a difference to our team. I'm not saying we should cut one of them, I'm just saying if you cut one of them there is somebody that can do the exact same things that player can do. We don't lose anything. So why not trade one for a defender?
I just hope that people will like me

Isiah needs to be fired if we keeps starting frye.......

Marbury, Q, Jefferies, Lee, Curry

with Nate, Balkman, and Frye, and Crawford off the bench gives this team the best chance to win

I really didn't notice him. That is how I know he played a decent game for a PG. He still needs to get better on the D a little but that would be nitpicking. I am happy he played above average.

LOL uhhhhhh whatever Battier, Head, Snyder, Skip all hit well from behind the arc. The reason they were wide open. Take your pick Marbury was gaurding a combination of those players tonight.

Overall I've always said that if you put Steph out there with better defenders that he's gonna be more effective. He can't be expected to stop guards on the perimeter all by himself. Tonight we had better TEAM defense and that helped. As far as the points we're giving up a lot of that has to do with our HORRIBLE offensive efficiency. When you're taking and missing bad shots teams get easy baskets. Once we start to play better offensively you'll see that change somewhat. Yao was just too much for us inside. One thing that we also can't overlook is that we really miss having Jared. Once he gets back we'll be able to put some very good defensive units on the floor for long stretches of the game. He's supposed to be that defensive cover guy on the floor with the starters. Right now we have only bench guys with a good defensive game.

I liked the defensive units Isiah put on the floor tonight. The zone was also very effective, tho it could be a bit better at recognizing the 3pt threats in Battier and Head. Still we were able to get back in the game due to good D.

You gotta love a Marbury Nuthugger. Don't get me wrong I'll give Marbury credit the past couple of games for showing some fight but when you look at his body of work over the course of a game he gets a C- or D+.

Battier
Head
Snyder
Alston.........

Shot 9-20 from behind the arc. I don't want to hear well the Knicks were zoning so Marbury wasn't specifically gaurding anyone in particular. Bullcrap! Marbury gets this hollow glorification from nitwited fans because they only recall that last qrt and not his complete body of work. Typical Marbury led team. He'll gets some stats, look fairly decent doing it but last but not least he'll deliver his team a L

It never ceases to amaze me how some guys just REFUSE to give steph credit when he plays good D. The guy actually DID play good D tonight. Does he have to be a top defensive player in the league in order to give him some credit for playing harder and smarter? It just never ends with some people!!!

Are you satisfied with Steph's body of work over the course of a game from Jump Ball to end of regualtion?
