Works under salary cap. The Pacers obviously aren't going anywhere for a few years. Jermaine O'Neal indicated, on a few occasions, that he may want out. Is this trade feasible?

Channing Frye, Steve Francis and a future 1st rounder for Jermaine O'Neal

Works under the cap, and balances our team out a lot more.

Starting lineup:
C-Eddy Curry
PF-Jermaine O'Neal
SF-Jared Jeffries
SG-Quentin Richardson
PG-Stephon Marbury

Bench:
C-Jerome James
C-Kelvin Cato
PF-David Lee
SF-Renaldo Balkman
SG-Jamal Crawford
SG/PG-Nate Robinson
PG-Mardy Collins

Thoughts?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Sick trade for us.

But yeah, I don't think the Pacers even consider it.

This is not even taking into account the fact that Bird probably will never trade with Isiah unless he is completely ripping us off.

if bird/walsh has any dealings with ny, which i highly doubt, i favor star + frye for jermaine.....and only if star reverts to his scowel year

I wouldn't make that trade as a knick fan- jermaine is getting up there in terms of wear and tear.

I think it would take FAR more than that to get JO, especially if you're asking them to take Francis. I don't think throwing in Nate, Renaldo, and David Lee to the above deal would be enough.

Ok, it's probably kool aid sprinkled all over the place. The thing is that last year, people were all over Frye. If he can get hot again, pique team's interest, then I think we could trade him. I guess right now, trying to trade him would not be dealing from a position of strength. Same with Francis. However, I think those are the two pieces that don't fit into this team, so if we can figure out how to get them looking attractive to other teams (Francis is not untradeable, and Frye is young and has possible all-star potential), then maybe, just maybe... we can trade them for a very good big man who fits into our system better, while removing the glut in the backcourt.

I at least don't think is as unrealistic as the Garnett trade ideas, right?

I think you could wait and try to trade Frye when he's playing better. However, I would just waive Francis. You're only going to get junk with worse contracts (if there are any) for him. He has a long history that won't be erased by a strong week or even month.

no way we're getting JO from INDY unless we're giving up the entire farm to get him... i think we'd have a better shot at getting KG personally, & even that's a severe stretch
