Article on ESPN's page 2 about a (former) Knicks fan picking a new team:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=darcy/061102

The article is kind of long so I'm not going to post the whole thing...I didn't even read it all, just curious about who they picked instead and how they rated us.

You can't blame someone if they jump ship, they have ever right given the utter incompetance of the organization. For the following reasons:

1. Dolan is the worst owner in sports, he raises ticket prices all the time, and is truly an ******* and doesn't care about the fans.

2. Steve Mills, gave Isiah 5 million?

3. Isiah Thomas worst executive in sports, no man has cost a franchise more money, he lies and is a snake and publically turns people off

4. STARBURY perhaps the single biggest reason for Knick hatred and resentment, he is a disgrace to basketball, and turns fans away. (GREAT STORY by STEPHEN A.; on Michael K yesterday he said he was at a game last year and Curry is working hard for position and calls for the ball and Steph give him a look and laughs and continues to pound the ball and takes the shot himself) He is reason enough to jump ship; what player who isn't any good by the way has a bigger ego?

I have talk to a lot of fans that say they just can't put up with this team, and you know what why should they? They get paid millions to do something that isn't even a job and take it for granted while not laying it on the line for the fans.

This team and organization is disgraceful to the fans and the history of Knicks basketball.

A true fan isnt able to switch teams. You can blast the team, insult the coach, scream at the tv, and turn your knicks hat inside out. That doesnt make you a bad fan. But switching teams makes you one thing, and that is a little b...h.

This is why it's such a joke when people accuse "haters" of not being real fans. A casual fan can chose his team, but a real fan is married to his team, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health.

Doesn't mean you make love to them every day, and you might need to pull them off the street, mount interventions, put them in rehab, and find better doctors - but you're committed to them coming around and living a good, long life.

Us "haters" are simply in the tough love/intervention/rehab stage with our team.

1. i don't think Dolan's the worst owner in sports... he may be the DUMBEST owner in sports, but he spends alot of money to try & put out a winning product... it just hasn't been working since he took over this franchise... his heart's in the right place, but his head is empty... he needs the right person to make the right decisions & utilize his money wisely.

3. i think saying Isiah is the worst executive in Sports is hyperbole... he's brought in some good young talent since he took over... yes, his trades & free agent signings have handicapped this franchise for years to come, but his eye for young talent has never been questioned... tell me you'd rather have Billy Knight of the Hawks making personnel & draft choices for the Knicks instead.

4. can't disagree w/u about Marbury... he's definitely the biggest reason why people despise the NY Knicks... he represents everything that is wrong in professional sports today... pretty much the TO of the NBA... all the talent in the world, but a poison in the lockerroom & an ego that is bigger than the city he plays in.

To is actually good, Marbury is not, TO's teams usually are in the playoffs but they are equally as cancerous.

1. Dolan: Look at it this way if you ran a business with unlimited money and someone was stealing and destroying the reputation of the business, does that not make you a terrible owner

2. Isiah is hands down the worst executive in sports, he devalued the franchise by close to 100 million dollars, if we were not in NY were you make money by default Zeke should be thrown in ****ing prision. His free agent signings have been as bad as anyone in the league, his trades no GM can match, we are talking about paying 20million in salaries for 29th picks. (Billy Knight is terrible and is in a great position in Atlanta, but he is not a snake like Isiah........

Just Review

The Knicks coaching payroll in the past two years has been over 50 million, when you factor in Lenny and Larry

He took a new york team of the television market

Ticket sales are down 15%

In order to get Balkman he paid 25million dollars

He is paying 15 million for another flawed pg when he didn't have to take on any salary.

So those two move alone cost dolan 40million and that is not counting the luxury tax!

I can't think of any owner that would allow the team to be this bad and cost him this much money so therefor he is the worst owner in sports and isiah is the worst executive in Sports

PLAYERS THAT ARE NEVER GOING TO MAKE THE FRANCISE A WINNER: James, Curry, Crawford (don't defend him he is the same player he always has been), Marbury, Nate (Nate being Nate, like his energy but he wants to be a highlight machine), Francis

PLAYERS THAT CAN HELP: COLLINS, BALKMAN, LEE, FRYE, JEFFERIES

I will agrre with you on everything but Curry and Craf.
They can be better but they need better couching and better bbol environment.
Couches like PR, Pop, LB can make this 2 very valuable players in this league. But unfortunately for Curry and Craf they are in wrong place at wrong time.

I think under this arrangement, Craw will suffer playing next to the 3 morons who don his position.

Craw under Larry shone becasue his athletic ability came thru in a structured system.

In the "Starbury" rules were young 8 digit salaried morons and a Special jumping freak can run free might not bode well for our skinny Crawman.

Not for lose of Reezy, but Francis as a knick might be the stupidest trade ever. Even if it was Larrys suggestion, why the phuch would it be done in recognition that Marbury is worthless as a trade asset? Marbury is untradable this season, and perhaps only as an expiring contract when that happens.

This person is disgusting and I will go as far as to say that this person was 'NEVER' a Knicks fan! To go to another team (why?), especially a double loser makes no sense. You might as well as stayed, if that is the case. The reason I don't think this person is real, on the level is because 'it had the nerve to invite the rest of us to jump ship'! Yeah right!!! I'll tell you guys one thing about this whole thought! One day...........one day when the Knicks are killing the league and on they're way to the ring' it's going to be well worth the wait!

Shit! Jump ship just to feel good about yourself.........what a loser!
I'll never trust this' team again.

It's the kind of thing I been saying the whole time. 'leader' is going to ruin another season. He certainly tired last night, by hurting his ankle on his own' shoe. But then again, he would have turned the ball over about ten times anyway, so you can't win with him in any case.
I'll never trust this' team again.
