it works, do you do it?

Pros, Boozer is a good scorer, really good rebounder and better defender than Frye (though not necasarily good). He really could be PERFECT beside Curry. He could elevate our game to the next level.

Cons, Boozer is inury prone & expensive. And I think we all really like Frye. I do.

I want to see if Boozer is healthy. I also want to know what's up with Frye.

Either way, DLee needs to start ASAP.

Maybe if Boozer was better on D. Right now this is hard for me to want to do...

no way... the deal would have to include Big Turd if we're giving up Channing... even then i'd have to get something else back in return, like a protected pick.

Frye, Nate & Malik for Boozer & Ronnie Brewer i'd do in a heartbeat tho.

Boozer is just as good as Frye in every area except jumpshooting. He is a better rebounder and a slightly better defender. However, in Frye, we have a good young PF that can develop that we can pay at a rookie scale for two more years. I would be hesitate to do the trade unless either 1) Utah took JJ1; or 2) I knew Frye was not going to develop into a starting PF.

For the talent that we would be getting back, I want to say yes. However, does Boozer fit in with the direction of this team? His board-work would be welcomed, but his D and his need for touches might clash. We need a healthy KMart type of player to play along side Curry. A PF who can block shots, run the floor and D-up.

You need to keep Frye. He can be a centerpiece of a big trade in the future for a superstar, maybe for KG.

Also, what's wrong with keeping Frye? He will get better. Losing JJ2 to injuries really hurts Frye the most. His one-on-one defense was not the problem last night, his help defense stunk it up since he can't recover fast enough. JJ2's help D is exceptional.

last year there was talk of a Frye as the center of a package for Garnett, and people didn't want to do it.

Frye is not a good young power foward, he is a good young center he will get embarrassed at the position, that is why you bring him off the bench and get another defender out there.

I won't trade any Knick youth for an injury prone player. Hold out for KG, JO, or wait it out and let them get better.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

pretty silly for anyone to refuse a Frye for KG trade.

here's the thing: Curry and Frye don't compliment each other that well (so far). Both suck at defense and rebounding, and when you mix it with a backcourt that can't keep their man in front of them, it's a sure sign of disaster.

Booz can rebound like a maniac. He can hit the outside shot, which would give someone like Curry room to operate. The perfect compliment to Curry would be a shotblocking, rebounding nut who could hit the occasional faceup basket. This nut would also be in charge of directing team D.

I def. agree with this. If we make any trade for Carlos Boozer, I want Ronnie Brewer back because of Boozers contract, at the same time, I don't see the Jazz making any trade that includes Ronnie Brewer.
