He makes some good points but I think he also generalizes too much.
Derek Harper came in when Doc went down with his ACL injury and
helped get the Knicks to the finals,I dont know why he would lump him
in with some of the others who dont belong there either like the X
man. Also its a big strech to suggest that the Dave D. trade was the
reason for the "win now" attitude that goes on till this day.It was
a different corporation that owned the Knicks,Dolan himself admits he
has no bball knowledge so he probably doesnt remember the trade. The
only similarity is that today like back then a corporation was
calling the shots, owners that are notorious for thinking in the short
term, one trade did not start this corporate philosophy.
I also dont think that VG was a brown nose,he may have had a good
relationship with Ewing and Johnson but I think that was more out of
respect than wanting to keep his job,if he was so concerned about job
security he wouldnt have left all that money on the table when he
quit.I think chaney is a decent guy but looking at his record and his contract extensions Id believe people saying that he was a suck up before I would believe that VG was.

Im also surprised that he didnt refer to Cablevision,Dolan or Layden
by name.If anyone is sucking up for a job in the NBA it sounds like
