My biggest criticism last year was Brown playing flawed players in the face of overwhelming proof that the guys he was sitting were better. He would play the rookies for stretches and they'd light the court on fire only to get benched for long stretches in favor of faulty players.

I figued Isiah would be a breath of fresh rationality. Hey don't get me wrong, I like Craw, but Nate is our best clutch player and should have been playing especially when Lowry was in the game down the stretch. Francis is horrible and he's in there on a critical possession and bounces the ball off his foot. Balkman is a great igniter too and deserves more minutes. I love the win but some of the moves were a little strange.

What was the deal with Frye? He's looked strange all preseason too. He finally comes in the game late and puts up a three? Francis and Frye need to get their games going inside before they start jacking up shots like that.

Its so great though to see the play of Eddie and Q having even made a slight improvement.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

This is a tricky game to draw conclusions from. Plus we have a total sample of 1.
We are all such fanatics it makes no sense. LOL!

we expected the backcourt to struggle defensively and we expected Frye to stink it up. As long as we can weed out the negative aspects of the team with time we'll be alright. There were a lot of positives tonight

the one thing I was thinking was in the second or third ot, when Curry was moving like he was in quick sand, Isiah should have gotten balkman into the game- we were killed on the opening of the 3rd ot with 3 consecutive offensive boards grabbed by their younger legs.

I also thought at one point he experimented with four guards and lee as the center- it didn't seem to last too long.

I thought it was fine till the end of the game when he kept going back to Francis. Also he definitely should've used Balkman in the OT at some point. We needed some boards and had several players who couldn't buy a bucket at the time...

I don't think he just jacked up a three but it was a designed play out of the time out.

Sure didn't look like it was designed, and if it was he rushed it. Plus, even if Frye's range is improving, no way we need him shooting threes. Kid should be working on hitting short jumpers first.

The most impressive thing I saw about Isiah's decisions where that when Q hit the second 3 pointer, he didn't immediately hit the bench.

Go figure

I wonder if Frye is shooting the lights out from downtown in practice, otherwise i dont really under stand what he was doing. I also thought it looked like they drew it up

I think the reason that Frye is shooting threes is because the guards don't get him the ball down low. If I were him, I'd start jacking threes too.

exactly...over time I expect I.Thomas to make adjustments. Maybe Frye will be suited to play more with the second unit...maybe Nate will take the last jumper. Time will tell

balkman was nuts, WAY too overeager. i mean, he got a flagrant foul in his first NBA game. he was getting faked into the air left and right.

i'm glad he got some PT, i think that's the way he'll learn. he has a lot to learn, evidently. but he'll be valuble for this team when he does get over these rookie mistakes.
