"Don't get it messed up," Garnett said. "People like to dwell on the present, but they don't like to understand what they have as far as the future. And the future is bright for New York.

"As far as me coming in here, we win, we walk out of here. But in the back of my mind, I know the New York team that's in hand - that includes [Antonio] McDyess, that includes Charlie Ward - those two stars and big Kurt Thomas, that's a bomb team right there."

Garnett even chastised the media for criticizing Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell, who scored a meager 12 points.

"A lot of people - you guys - are down for some strange reason on Spree," Garnett said. "And, for whatever reason, are down on Allan. Those are go-to guys, those are go-to players.

"Don't ever forget how the Knicks got to the Finals. It was those two guys leading the charge."

Well as far as the future - we will see after draft night, and if Antonio can play.

Houston - 100 mil says it all, let him go in and renegotiate for less and then he can have some heat taken off.
