Chicago has no weak links, might start off the season 10-0
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Chi is a very good team, but lets not get out of hand.

1. Post game: Remember the 80's movie "less than zero"? They don't have one, and have no one around who is developing one. It is a major point of concern for them.
2. Very under-sized 2 guard who is weak on defense. Another major point of concern, Ben is a doormat, on top of being very small.
3. PJ Brown is their starting PF, which I would say is problematic because of his age, speed and stamina. While he is serviceable, it underscores their lack of depth in the front court.

In spite of how young and full of promise they are, they do have some glaring weaknesses.

I think I'll take Tyrus Thomas and this year's potential lottery pick.

50 wins and 2nd round is my prediction for them. they need a post up PF, or their "sheed". and they have the pieces to get it.

i see the bulls and see what we should look like right now. paxson and isiah started at the same time. paxson did not inherit the salary hell that isiah did but the young players he inherited - curry, crawford, and chandler are all gone. curry turned into t2 (and more down the road) so that's one player he got from what he inherited. he drafted jwill and his career was cut short. but then built via the draft and cheap free agent signings (like nocioni). dumped salary and didn't sign any long term deals until this past summer for big ben. so although they both started with different types of situations but paxson targetted different type of players and built via defense. isiah could have EASILY had us in the same exact position chicago is in now and all in 3 years.

Well I think you're a nutjob.

Eddy Curry all the way. Ty Thomas is liek Tyson Chandler minus the skills.

Dont know about how easy that woulda been. H20 goes down and we are left with shanvis eisleyspoon. Not easy to deal with at all.
Plus did we have a first rounder that year? We drafted Ariza, did Isiah trade the pick or did Layden?

Chicago is no thte roll model. they sucked for like 12 years to get to where they are. Drafting high and have had a who's who of NBA stars pass through their locker room.

paxson is the role model. not krause. krause drafted brand, artest and signed brad miller. then traded all of them.

when isiah took over, we would be crazy under the cap this summer. that should've been the target. we don't trade for marbury and penny. this is what isiah should have done:

2004 #1, 2004 #2, 2004 MLE (cheap young player), 2005 #1, 2005 #2, 2005 MLE (cheap young player), 2006 #1, 2006 #2, 2006 MLE (cheap young player)...and possibly some picks purchased along the way.

that's over 1/2 your roster still under 25, with a TON of cap room this summer.
