He had a great opening...He talked all the former coaches then spoke about the players letting them down and the players are accountable this season...No defending the players this season...Told all club owners in NYC don't let these guys walk the street at nights...let let them in and be comfortable if they are not winning and playing hard....He told the managers at Club 4040 don't let them act like they are "the men" if they are not winning...

u didn't miss anything... just more of Isiah's spin on why Jalen Rose's buyout made sense for them now when his expiring contract was supposedly so valuable a year ago.

SAS also questioned whether or not Francis had the heart & desire to want to play in NY, & also questioned whether or not Marbury had it in him to be a leader for this franchise to put them in the Finals someday... 1 thing i like about Smith is that he doesn't hold any punches when he's interviewing people... his over reactionary rants get on my nerves sometimes, especially on baseball & football topics which he knows nothing about, but when it comes to hoops, i respect what he has to say.

I dont know - it always seems like SAS ACTS like hes about to ask some serious questions and when it comes time he kinda ***** foots around and accepts the BS answers and moves on... What a teast

I think he feels that hes doing what needs to be done to get the best out of marbury. Marbury is more likely to play his heart out for a guy who has his back unconditionally rather than someone who doesnt.

he asked Isiah about Jalen Rose & made his comment about Marbury & Francis, & Isiah responded... there really wasn't much more he could talk about other than the Anucha Brown or Larry Brown stuff, & i don't think he wanted to go there.

isiah is putting it all on him b/c this team is mentally fragile. he's pumping his chest...saying stuff like it's his responsiblity to have the players in shape, it's his responsiblity on how the players perform. it's all isiah...just the way he likes it.

this is a fascinating psychological study. unfortunately, the problem is that the team is not built correctly...and isiah will suffer the same fate as the coaches before him.

he had to say he's on Steph's side because he said "steph's not as good as has been said of him, or as bad", and he's afraid the first part of that comment could cripple Steph.

No he has to go give bring Steph some chocolates, give him a foot rub and take him trick-or-treating.
