First of all, sprewell is sooooo dangerous @ the 2 and Shandon a. seemed to hold his own over the last 11 games. SPrewell is so effective and lethal @ the 2, no one can't stop him. he brings energy and intensity on the court. It doesn't look good having 190pds Spree guarding 240pds Mashburn. He's definitely playing out of position.

Shandon a. is playing much better on both sides of the floor. Houston needs to go!!! he's getting 100mm and hasn't performed like one. Game vs New Orleans, he scored 23pts in the first half but didn't do squat in the 2half +overtime. with 100mm on your hands, you should be playing like Spree.......

This trade would benefit the knicks cause they now now a decent post-up player. Knicks don't have one since Mcdyess went down. Plus, Howard is in his last yr of a of a contract that pays him 20mm this yr. It would free up some cap space for knicks. Denver probably would do this trade cause they'll be receiving knight whose contract ends 2004 and Ward who can has a option on a buyout @ the end of 2004. As for Houston going to denver, i don't hink the nuggets can attract big time players next summer via free agents. Therefore, in order to get a find player, they should rather take Houston via trade instead.

Denver trades: PG Chris Whitney (7.9 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 4.6 apg in 27.0 minutes)
PF Juwan Howard (13.3 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 35.8 minutes)
Denver receives: SG Allan Houston (23.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.8 apg in 39.7 minutes)
PG Charlie Ward (11.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 5.5 apg in 29.2 minutes)
C Travis Knight (0.8 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 8.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +14.0 ppg, -3.6 rpg, and +3.2 apg.

New York trades: SG Allan Houston (23.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.8 apg in 39.7 minutes)
PG Charlie Ward (11.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 5.5 apg in 29.2 minutes)
C Travis Knight (0.8 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 8.5 minutes)
New York receives: PG Chris Whitney (7.9 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 4.6 apg in 7 games)
PF Juwan Howard (13.3 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 8 games)
Change in team outlook: -14.0 ppg, +3.6 rpg, and -3.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Howard has herpes. It was in the news years ago...

and II:

Did Allan Houston get wasted at halftime or what? Dude was on fire in the first half dropping 23 and then couldn't hit water from a boat in the second half and OT going scoreless as the Knicks lost another close one ...

does not work under the salary cap. if you are going to make a trade, you have to get close to equal salary in return. sorry to say, no one is going near alan's contract

What the hell does his sexual privacy got to do with basketball! We're not asking Howard to have sex with the Knicks city dancers, we want him to put the damn ball in the basket... As for Allan he didn't logged too many minutes in the 1st half. Stupid chaney started using a 12 man rotation which didn't make any sense.....

Mr Doobie, i don't think you're paying any attention!!!! Take a look @ what i presented for this trade. If you would look at the players involved in the trade proposal, you would see that it does work under the salary cap. The trade was accepted by the rules of the collective bargaining agreement. Aren't you looking at the printout i forwarded above.

You know...If it could work, I'd actually do it...

Spree-Postell and Anderson/Nailon looks like a good 2/3 setup-

If we get Dice back, and find a way to turn the exception into a 7-footer...I'm ok with this...

Whitney/Vujanic/Eisley...
Spree/Postell
Nailon/Shandon
Dice/Howard/Thella
Doleac/KT/3rd Big man*

Everybody needs to give it up with all these Allan Houston trade proposals. Face it, nobody is going to bail the knicks out of this one. Knicks management, conistent with their past self sabotage ways, paid about thirty to forty million more then any sane GM would ever think of paying him. The whole point of Kiki getting Howard was to wipe his salary off the books, why take on a contractual albatross?

There was a flicker of hope at the beginning of the season when Houston was averaging 30pts. a game. If he could have kept that up, maybe somebody would have been conned into taking him. Now that he is doing his world famous 4th quarter Copperfield acts. No dice
