There are 2 things holding this team back from making the playoffs --

STEPHON

and EDDY

The style Isiah's created this year I actually like, and I think for now he's the right coach for this team.

But luckily he's so proud he'll ignore the 2 OBVIOUS problems, probly get fired for it.

I mean lets face it, Eddy is a fat, turnover-prone, halfcourt Center, and Marbury is a malcontent, unexuberant, halfcourt PG, and neither fits in with the new Princenton-offense, hit the open man, run and gun high octane offense.

Isiah is a dangerous GM b/c you never really know what he's gonna do. And sometimes trades we think will be great turn out horrible (Curry), and trades we think are bad turn out OK (Francis). In fact Francis looks like his old self again, he's been our best player this preseason.

Luckily Dolan isn't takin his crap anymore it SEEMS.

Frye is showing a little more to his arsenal, and is showing he isn't afraid of contact. The fouls will go away with time.

Meanwhile Curry hasnt shown SH*T, and Marbury looks about uninvolved as a franchise 20 & 8 PG can.

Here's the plan man:

STEP 1 -- Freakin fire Isiah. It'll happen. Trust me...his ego will get him canned.

STEP 2 -- Hire Jerry Colangelo as GM, let him choose the next coach.

STEP 3 -- Trade Marbury and Curry for ANYTHING.

STEP 4 -- Bring in a young athletic shotblocker.

STEP 5 -- Roll with those boys. Keep our draft picks. Wait for '09 cap space.

What that'll accomplish for us is establish a legit run and gun franchise like Denver or Dallas. We'll have a GM we can trust, players that are exciting and play hard, and an even brighter future with nothing holding us down.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

STEP 3 -- Trade Marbury and Curry for ANYTHING.

Bobs, be careful what you wish for. I don't think either of them have much value and we might have to take a terrible contract back in order to get rid of Marbury. Maybe Denver or Memphis would be willing to deal with us?
STEP 1 -- Freakin fire Isiah. It'll happen. Trust me...his ego will get him canned.

If the Knicks keep losing with little effort and Isiah is still here, it's b/c Dolan is totally buying this "I can handle this stuff b/c I'm from the slums of Chicago" stuff. I DON'T buy it, and I'm pretty sure it would take a mutt with no brain to buy this "Hey Stephon, don't worry about basketball b/c you've won in the game of life." business.
STEP 4 -- Bring in a young athletic shotblocker.

Absolutely. And if we were to trade Curry for one, then that would be a better way to put Frye in the starting lineup. That would make him less exposed.

Problem is this. Shotblockers get into foul trouble. And when your guards get blown by regularly, like ours do, then we need to trade a couple of those guards, as you mentioned, for maybe less talented, but better fitted guys.

The one thing I'm praying for is this: If Isiah gets fired, Dolan boots Grunwald as well, lets Mills just ride out the rest of the season as interim gm, w/o allowing him to make trades or signings, and then hires someone who is competant during the Summer.

Youre right. I kinda realized that a day later. Marbury is the guy we should trade away for anything, b/c his value will never increase.

Curry is the guy we should hold onto until he shows more promise.

I wouldn't trade Marbury for anything. I think the lowest I go for him is a comination of expiring contracts. Just remember, he only has 2 years left after this season. In about a year from January, his value could be much higher and by that Summer is also times when you can talk about buying him out. Gotto be patient with this. I'm sure as in hell am not willing to trade him for someone that's just gonna add to the glut of guards we have or someone with a worse contract.

You ever notice that he constantly yet slickly undermines the team, as well as the fans just as much as Larry Brown? He's just not as straight foward.

Justin Williams is available. He was just cut by Sacremento. This is the young, athletic shotblocker right here. Cut Jalen Rose and bring this kid in.

So is Stro Swift and Ty Thomas, Kenyon Martin, Chandler is only 2 inches taller, Ben Wallace is 6-8, Marion is 6-7, Kirilenko is 6-8(I think), Camby is 6-10, Mourning is 6-10..All pretty good shotblockers.

Dude, I don't care if he's 4 feet. If he blocks shots and makes people from thinking twice about going in the paint, we need him. 6'9" is fine for a shotblocker!

JoeC, Marcus Camby is definitely not 6'10". I was at the Knicks/Nuggets game last year, and he dwarfed Channing Frye. He's a good 7'1"

Maybe the listings are wrong. I checked it up and I was off an inch and he was 6-11.

Maybe Channing is only 6-9 too? LoL

The listings are off with a whole bunch of the players. Channing is a real tall dude and really is close to being 7'0". Camby just happens to be taller. Something also noteworthy, Channing also makes Marcus look like a truck.

Both look about the same size. Frye looks a little bigger. Another thing, he is putting on more muscle. He added weight this off season and said he wants to keep eating up the plates.

I don't doubt that Silverfeul, but last season, Camby was both bigger in both ways. Not a knock on Frye, b/c I can totally see the "Please, be patient with Lord Frye" parade coming now. SF, I shall see you at the draft manana!

Camby would still be a Knick if he wasn't so injury prone. No one doubted his talent.

Camby would be a hall of famer if he weren't so injury prone.
