Marbury (17 mill) to Milwaukee

Brian Skinner 8 mill
Rueben Patterson 7 mill

Come back in return.

Relese Skinner and Patterson

god, I would do it in a heartbeat and just run Francis/Crawford out there as the guards. Have Nate/Q off the bench. That would be great. To bad he and Isiah are lovers. Then again, after Isiah trades he can say "remember, your a winner in life!"

i don't think MIL would do it to tell u the truth... it's a steal for them in terms of talent, but that contract is killer.

Well its only 2 more years of contract since they would be paying that much to the other 2 guys. I think Isiah should try it. I think its a win win

Why are we gonna try so hard to get rid of his contract? Thats crap talent back. Atleast get 1st rd picks to offset the curry trade picks.

NOTHING can offset the Curry trade. You cant get that back, but I would keep Patterson. He would be great in small lineups playing SF/PF/SG. Then I think you also see the GOOD Steve Francis. I'm not his biggest fan but he can be a good player and is a better rebounder/defender/athlete than Marbury at this point in his career

Because if we can dump Marbury and Francis contract we can target the cap in 2007/2008. Its worth straight salary dumps for expiring contracts

i'll agree on the rebounder/athlete part of that, but Stevie's the worst perimeter defender we have by far... Marbury at least bodies up on his man from time to time... Stevie's best defensive move is watching his man blow past him & running down the court the other way for a possible fastbreak opportunity.

2 more years of Marbury's max contract equates to $41+ million in extra spendings, not to mention any luxury tax dollars they might have to pay if they go over the salary cap... i don't see it happening.

Chump change for the #1 pg in the NBA. :)
Plus imagine the sneaker promotions. :)

Wow Marbury goes back to the team that originaly drafted him, great trade idea.
I liked how Francis started out the other night, he needs the chance to restore his leadership abilities with the knicks.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

maybe if you threw in about 3 million pairs of Starbury 1's, they'd think about it.

Well they did draft him so I think its worth Isiah making a phone call. Start high. Ask for Redd. Then let them "steal" Marbury from us. LOL :)

I don't think the first rounders would matter. The bulls can take them away from us.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I would totally make that trade. Isiah would be insulted like he was with the Dalembert rumors. Those 2 aren't in bed together. They've reached threesome level and I think Steve just may be the third party now.

I think MIL would be more interested in a Francis deal than Marbury because he makes less and is good for relatively the same production. If we threw in $3 million and maybe Collins, I think it is a deal MIL would at least consider, especially since they would not have to pay Bogut and Charlie V until the year after Francis's deal expires. We would be getting back crap talent, but Patterson would be another defender who can score somewhat and Skinner is well Skinner. What the trade would do is give us some flexibility to make another trade that might bring in talent.

We would save 42million dollars.

They wouldn't do it though. They like Williams and they like Bell. Which is why they were willing to trade Ford. Plus they were scared for Ford getting injured and go more than max value back for Charlie V. We would probably even have to add in a draft pick and maybe ask for Williams or Bell,
