Spree to the Lakers Juwan Howard to the Knicks NY Injury Exemption - Fisher - Fox - Madsen - Murray - or whatever combination the Lakers and Denver decide on.
For the Lakers - they get a 3rd scorer, a big guard and a 2nd option when Shaq and/or Kobe is injured.
For NY - Out with Spree - in with Juwan. He's got a horrible contract but it's only for this season. If he pans out in place of Dice . . . sign him next year for a reasonable amount. Knicks next season - Thomas/Dice/Howard/Houston/(Whichever PG is stinking less).
For Denver - an exemption they won't use - some ending contracts from the Lakers - maybe even Charlie Ward from the Knicks. Fish and/or Fox - some vets who don't make too much $$$. They tank the year - get LeBron James and have a ton of $$$ to sign 2 top level free agents.
Knick fans - tell me what you think?

the thing is, even with the salary dump for contract reasons, you are giving away some good talent for much lesser talent, and that's if Howard stays. Too much of a risk for Scott. Plus, he's not a center, and the Knicks have all the SFs they need (spoon, lee, anderson).

First of all Howard is not a SF. He can play center in the east. Second, Denver would never do this trade. They gave up NVE and Raef just to beable to take $20million after this year. Kiki is a smart guy and will not trade away howard.
