The top 10 Reasons Marbury must dump his own shoes....drum roll....

10. Stepping on MSG Hot Dogs and getting mustard on his socks.

9. Should not wear sneakers that cost less than a DMX CD.

8. Walmart, Target and Trader Joes won't carry them because they are not "classy" enough for their inventories.

7. If they go on sale then the stores would owe the consumers money.

6. The sneakers really clash with his $100,000.00 Rolex. that is like getting a brand new Rolls Royce and putting a Hostos CC bumper sticker on the fender and fur dice on the rear view mirror.

5. He really cannot believe that kids will wear $15.00 kicks for long. Not even in Somalia, Cambodia or Borneo.

4. When he autographs kids sneakers the pen hurts their feet.

3. Sebastian is about to out do him and come out with a $1.00 ski mask.

2. One size fits all is a a dead giveaway that the shoes are cheap.

1. His dogs is barking and we are in the middle of the preseason!!! By the All Star break, he will be Kunta Kinte.

Walt Frazier was one of the first nba players with a shoe contract - I think it was with Reebock, but I'm not sure. He made a point of wearing the shoes on the court. There was a road game with Houston when he had the ball at the end of the game and Mike Newlin - a pretty good defensive player - was guarding him one on one.

Clyde dribbled the ball one way and lost one of his shoes. Then he dribbled it the other way and lost the other shoe. I can't remember if he made the basket. I was laughing to hard to care.

I like the shoes and the whole line. When you have a ton of bills to pay, having a pair of nice cheap kicks is always welcomed. I remember paying 100+ for air max sneakers back in the day and not wanting to wear too much because I dont want to mess them up. With these sneakers, if I scuff them up the 2nd week i have them, I dont spend the whole day mad. I can just go out and buy another pair. :)
Top 10 list is still funny tho

Back in the day Clyde endorsed Puma.

It's like all other stuff produced in China.
You can use it for 1/10 of the time the quality product last and it cost 5 times less.
Actually consumers are paying 2 times more.
But well.. its good for economy (read big coporations)

Clyde was THE first to have his own shoe. Puma hada shoe called "Basket" which was white leather with black suede stripe. They introduced a multicolored line in suede called "clyde" I had a few pairs. The dye would bleed onto your socks! Same with Suede pro keds, Converse, etc.

Many players would step out of their low cut shoes in the NBA back then. I can't imagine making a cut so hard with ONE shoe and a sock that could make you come out of the other!

The clyde/Basket was a good shoe back in the day. Now it would be considered causual footware. I had pairs in the 6th grade. Our team had ugly brown jersey's but with the satin gold shorts and gold "Clydes" we looked like "C3PO" on the court! Glad my son can't see those pictures. Especially with real shorts that were a bit over the knee.

Let him keep the shoe line. Just trade him to another team so we can finally start a new ERA. The Marbury era has been a huge failure here as a Knick.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg
