"I'm hoping that we can [have a rotation eventually], but I'm not going to form a rotation just because people say you should have a 10-man rotation. I think that's ridiculous. I've always thought that. If you have the type of team that can handle a rotation, then you have a rotation. But if you have guys who are consistent one night and inconsistent the next because you want a rotation and you just play the guy who is inconsistent, does that make any sense? With the young guys, you might have another guy just as good as him sitting on the bench and he's not playing."

I have a feeling the Knicks wont have a consistent rotation this year. Too many guys trying to earn minutes.

And too many inconsistent guys as well. Also most of our positions have guys that are about the exact same skill level and repeat themselves.

If the Knicks don't have a rotation this year, everyone on this site will think that Isiah aged 25 years becuase he must be senile.

We'll have much more of a set rotation than anytime last year, that's for sure. The inconsistent play of some players really doesn't effect us as much as it might other teams. Our depth allows us to overcome an off night from any player. We have so many scorers and depth that it's not gonna effect us that much.

This is just another thread that you "Self Hating Knick fans" love to keep putting up. Why even call yourselves Knick Fans. What's fanatical about the way you feel about this team? You all seem ready to kick this team any chance you get. It's as if you don't see anything good about the team, the way you keep going on and on about how bad things are. Every day you get together for these Hater love fests and trade jokes about the team. As a nearly 30 yr long Knick fan it sickens my stomach to read what you guys say. The freakin season is about to start, can't you find even a bit of optimism for the coming season?

Wah, wah, wah. Your not a fan, wah wah wah. Stop making fun of my team wah wah wah. Put a sock in it.

Here we go again, someone wants to call us non-fans! Just because you cheer every move doesn't make you anymore of a fan then myself or anyone on this board. Scott Layden and now Isiah have turned this team into a joke and I'm not going to stand for it. I'm not going to pretend that the Knicks are not a joke, what the hell is the point of that? This years team is hardly different from last years travesty and until they show me that they are a team that will compete night-in and night-out, I'm reserving all judgement and I have a feeling that won't happen until Isiah, Marbury and Francis are all gone from this team. This team is going nowhere with these 3 guys.

Go about your business on this board, but don't you dare insinuate that some people on this forum are not fans just because they have a different opinion than you.

For all your talk about the right kind of fans it's talk like this that makes you sound more like an agent of the PR department than a fan. I've never seen anyone more obsessed with what other posters think in my life.

How about we spend more time talking about the team and less about each other, or you'll be opening up yourself to a lot of retorts that I know you wont appreciate.

My confusion is if we have a deep squad and incosnsistent players. And you are saying that our depth will make up for our inconsistencies. This suggests to me that we would not have a consistent rotation. That we will play the "hot hand". No? And if this is the case don't the players have the right to bitch and moan and quit on Isiah if he decides to play the hot hand??

Hey Nixluva! I guess this thread discussion is - if set rotation is good/bad/required for young developing teams
It was some opinions posted.
We can also argue if Knicks is developing young team or not. Or may be how much of young developing team it is.
It will be some opinions too.
Nobody sad Knicks are bad or good, will be great or will suck

So why you start beaching right away. It looks like you are pretty nervous about the season will go not as good as you wish.
Lower your expectations man and you will be most likely happy no meter what...
And.. peace man... It's all not the matter of life and death.
