I was watching NBATV and they were showing the preseason camp for the NJ Nets. Some of the observations I made were that:
1)Kidd, Carter, and Jefferson are so much better than the rest of the team. When they are on the court together, they are just toying with the second string. This is probably not a good thing b/c it means NJ does not have a competitive bench.
2) Marcus Williams looked pretty good. The interesting thing is that it looks like NJ is going to play small ball some this season and play Willams at PG and Jason Kidd at SG. Jefferson is going to play the PF in this lineup. I wonder how much they plan to use this lineup.
3) J. Williams looks like about 75% of what he was. He still can move up and down and run the point, but he lacks alot of lateral quickness, but I think he may still make the team.
The funniest part of the show was when Marcus Williams missed a defensive assignment. Coach shouted, "Marcus, what's up." Marcus said something like my bad, and Frank says, "This ain't Connecticutt, you have to play both ends this year."
