I say A job, not HIS job...

I say that b/c even if we don't meet expectations (hey, it happens), he may just be a much better coach than he is a GM. I think given all the youngstaz on the team, it might be in our interest to leave him on the sidelines, where I think some of that Detroit thugness comes out (whereas in the front office he's got the alter boy smile on lock).

Hell, I'd even love to throw Laimbeer in there as an assistant. Keep Herb as another. Hell, throw in Patrick, keep Agguire, keep Starks as a consultant, and you might just have something there.

Just b/c we need a new GM doesnt mean Isiah has to go. He might have to go, but might do a whole lot less damage on the bench....

Just my .02$

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I am very frustrated with Isiah. He has really put the Knicks in a bad spot and I hope that he is successful in turning them around. I do think he will be a better coach then he was a gm. However, I really think he is an ego maniac and that it is all about Isiah and not about the Knicks. His tirade against Anthony is a good example. I also think that he will be found guilty in the Anucha case and that the Knicks will end up paying LB a ton of money. He has done more than enough damage to insure that he doesn't get another job in the NBA. The problem is that he controls the Knicks and does not lose his job despite all of his failures that just bury this team more.

ya but his tirade against anthony, while immature, could fuel a young team.

if you strip his power as a gm, it might put him in his place.

btw, i meant it more as hope for those that think dolan will never really fire isiah.

even if he doesnt, his influence can still at least be minimized.

personally id get rid of him.

a flame thrower on the bench would be a better idea for this team.
