Allan needs to enjoy the retirement and call it a career. Trying to comback at 35 is hard and probably pointless. Why risk your knees? He has nothing left to prove. He was a great Knick.
The way he went out was miserable for him. The fans blaming him for the salary cap woes, feeling pressure from the organization, thinking he was getting closer and closer to feeling better and being able to come back but never being there. He'd come back to end everything on his own terms, prove to himself and other people he still has something left, and to change the way the end of his career will be remembered.
As a pure breed knick fan to the core, I will always value H2O as a serious, integral Knick --on the same level as guys like Oakley Patrick Clyde etc...Who blames Allan for $ woes? Who wouldnt take 100mm if offered? The guy was great and the only thing that was unfortunate was that he seemed to be getting BETTER! right before he went down. He had put on some serious muscle over a 1-2 year period, and his game was almost unguardable. the guy was 100% class personified --- he hit my favorite shot that I have seen as a 30 year + Knick fan--the riley dagger. If at some point he wants to come back, God bless him, but I dont think it's a vital necessity--hes been clearly defined.
