"They're going to be good," Kidd was saying about Franbury just as Thomas approached. "They've got a good coach."
Yes, a good coach on a short leash whose fate essentially rides on his ability to make something like Thomas-Dumars - or at least something better than Jamal Crawford-Nate Robinson - out of Marbury-Francis.
"They've got a very talented backcourt," Kidd said. "If they can stay healthy, they've definitely got one of the best backcourts in this league."
I know Jason Kidd is just saying it to say it but there might be some truth there. If they are healthy and they understand each other, they can be extremely dangerous. The way I look at it, either one of them will carry the scoring load on different nights. We also have Crawford to fill in from either of them if they are fouling out. Over all, I think we have an excellent backcourt if,
they have been informed of their defined roles. There cannot be any confusion about what Marbury has to do and what Francis has to do. If they know their roles, we are going to be a scary backcourt.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
