"They're going to be good," Kidd was saying about Franbury just as Thomas approached. "They've got a good coach."

Yes, a good coach on a short leash whose fate essentially rides on his ability to make something like Thomas-Dumars - or at least something better than Jamal Crawford-Nate Robinson - out of Marbury-Francis.

"They've got a very talented backcourt," Kidd said. "If they can stay healthy, they've definitely got one of the best backcourts in this league."

I know Jason Kidd is just saying it to say it but there might be some truth there. If they are healthy and they understand each other, they can be extremely dangerous. The way I look at it, either one of them will carry the scoring load on different nights. We also have Crawford to fill in from either of them if they are fouling out. Over all, I think we have an excellent backcourt if, they have been informed of their defined roles. There cannot be any confusion about what Marbury has to do and what Francis has to do. If they know their roles, we are going to be a scary backcourt.

So in fact, Larry was right when he begged Dolan and Thomas to get Francis. This is what Larry was thinking of all along.

You must be joking.

Offensively, I think it is very likely that Marbury and Francis can play together. It is the defense that will be a problem. One of the two is going to have to guard either a SG or a SF and I have doubts that either of them are up to the task. That why I don't see both getting 35 minutes a game. You simply cannot leave that backcourt out there that long unless the team is really scoring at a high rate.

larry was right, but he has a tendency to say one thing and do a completely different thing.

He's a used car salesman...how often did they even play together, start together, stay on the court together?

no both ways about it...larry talks the talk but is really full of ****.

No one is trying to have it both ways. My point is that now that Francis is here, we have to figure out how to use him. However, I don't think anyone is suggesting that bringing Francise here was a good idea. Moreover, the argument that this was LB's plan all along is not credible. Francis is an anti-LB type player. He is a one on one, scoring PG that plays little defense. Now are you seriously trying to tell me that LB wanted this guy because he thought that he and Marbury would form a dynamic duo in the backcourt. Get real. IMO there are three possible reasons LB wanted Francis: 1) he knew it would not work out and would make IT look bad and thus, play into his ultimate goal of taking over the GM duties; 2) with Francise here it would make it easier to trade Marbury; and 3) he was hoping that Francise could be used as trade bait for Garnett or O'Neal. That is it. LB did not think that Francise would be playing with Marbury, which is why when he got here LB never played them together for extended periods.

Wrong. Larry brought in Francis to phase out Marbury. If Larry was so smart to think it could work, why did he never play them together? he barely started Francis and Marbury/Francis were rarely on the court at the same time.

Brown's desire for Francis had nothing to do with on the court stuff, but his off the court maneuvering to get Isiah and Marbury out of NY. People can deny this all they want, but it doesn't matter anymore. The Curse of Brown is over. deal with it.

I think Kidd could careless. He was just forced to answer a question he did not want to.

I've heard no comment before. Thats cool though, I know what you mean. How can you say its a forgone conclusion that a Marbury-Francis (Franbury) backcourt will not work.

The Net's Players have beating the Heat in their minds. They really could not care what is going on with this franchise at this point. Kidd was just trying to be nice. If he had said no comment the media would had twisted it around some how.

It'll be a long time before the Larry Lovers (and the posters who love them) let go of Larry Brown.
