In the above article he's talking about how it will take time to complete his vision. I particularly love this quote:

"Teams that we're going to face, they have some experience and some years on us in terms of togetherness," Thomas said. "We're not going to catch up in a week or two. But by the end of the year, my goal is to have our team ready that they can go around and compete with anybody they're playing in the league . . . But that's an end-of-the-year thought, not tomorrow's."

Not only is he the one responsible for constantly turning the roster over but he doesn't sound like a guy who thinks his team is a shoe end to make the playoffs, like his players do. He's ahead in the game in regards to manufacturing built in excuses if failure occurs.

Oh and he has 1yr to get it together

"I'm used to being in environments where you have to have thick skin," Thomas said. "While I'm not challenging anyone, I'm definitely not running from anyone. I'm not asking for a fight, I'm not looking for a fight. But at the same time, if a fight comes, then you've got to fight. I'm used to fighting, I've had to fight all my life."

How many times are we going to have to hear this guy talk about beating the odds his whole life. He acts like he's the only person in the world that's had to overcome adversity. Zeke this isn't the UFC Octagon, it's basketball just in case you have forgot.

But oh he couldn't stop there he had to pull a PressBury and follow it up with


He then paused a moment before adding, "I'm kind of tired of fighting."


So which is it Zeke? "Are you a Bad Azzz or a Pansy"?

"I want to win all the time," Thomas said after the team practiced yesterday. "There's a championship out there to be had. No one has been crowned champion yet and until I'm out of the race, I'm preparing to win the race."

"I'm not afraid to ask for it all and I'm not afraid to want it all," Thomas said.


So the team may be at a comptetive level by years end or heck they'll be in the Finals playing for a championship
