Marbury, a devout Yankee fan from Brooklyn, said yesterday that he hoped Alex Rodriguez returns. Marbury said he believes A-Rod takes too much blame because of his exorbitant salary. "I want him to stay," Marbury said. "He's the best player in baseball."

When a reporter asked Marbury if he was like the A-Rod of the Knicks, Isiah Thomas, standing a few feet away, interrupted his own interview session.

"No, no, hell no," Thomas shouted at the Marbury pack. "Don't even go there. Whatever context it is, you're not. You're $10 million a year short."
Like A-Rod, Marbury is the team's most gifted player, most highly paid and most blamed. Marbury will make $18 million this season - only $8 million short of A-Rod's salary. . . . Jalen Rose again scrimmaged with the third team.

Just don't let him answer!!!!!

Arod's teammates quietly hate him. Marbury's are more outspoken

A-Rod is also a perenial All-Star that has won two mvps?

Steph has mad just two All-Star teams in his 10 year career, which is strange because he is the best pg in the league.

A-Rod also reads above a third grade level

Baseball's MVP is usually based completely on stats. Many would argue that Arod and Marbury put up the same empty stats. I don't think Arod deserves his slot in the hall of fame. of course, it's guaranteed already, but I can't remember a time when he was a feared hitter the way Ortiz or Pujols is. Think of it this way - if Marbury had put up comparable stats in MLB to what he's done in the NBA, he'd be a lock for the hall of fame and might have a few MVPs himself.

but, yeah, thank god Isiah was there to save us from a stupid backpage quote. how does everyone think Larry would have handled that one?
