Do you realize the Knicks are going into the season since Malik and Jerome are hurt with three inside guys. Eddy, David, and Channing will have the 4 and 5 with Elton Brown or Paul Miller getting spot minutes. With Eddie playing about 30 minutes at the most that leaves a lot of minutes for Channing and David.

^ good for the young guys but bad for Isiah if he thinks .500 is attainable.

Bad for Curry cause he is still going to be in foul trouble but still expected to put in 35+ minutes.

I thought about that... blessing in disguise

JJSkinny can play some PF with Q at the 3. Its small ball but we have some options. Diaw played center on a 60 win team so anything can happen.

Interesting thought, King. It's going to be a long year if both Malik and Jerome are injured(never thought I'd say that.) Channing will have a huge chance to show everyone what kind of player he is but if his defense is still lacking than opposing 4's are going to be scoring alot of points on Channing. I'm really not worried about Lee getting added minutes, the team can really use his hustle and rebounding to begin with. I think Lee will be solid, hopefully that jumper still looks as sweet as it did in summer-league. I think the added minutes are going to benefit both David and Channing very well, lets just hope the defense holds up. That really is my biggest fear.

-King, since your inside-guy, may I ask a question?

What are your impressions about Elton and Paul in practice and training camp thus far? Also, have you seen anything from either guy that makes you think they could become solid rotation players or even starters in the NBA?

But will Channing and Lee be out there to play, or to help Eddy get up and down the court?

The more Frye and Lee play the better. I already expected them to log huge minutes this year and this only makes it more of a lock that they will get much more PT. They will only gain from that kind of experience. In general our best players will play FAR more minutes than last year and that is one of the reasons i'm optimistic.

Jackie B was a great role player...he's a notch below Nazr.

I don't miss any ex knick.

that's just how I am.

JJ2 will more than admirably assist down low and lee is a strong dude.

JJ1 will be back, it's not like we need him to run the break or shoot jumpers (rice).

He just needs to patrol the paint and set picks.

This is actually good news. We want Curry, Frye, and Lee to get the majority of the minutes at the 4 and 5 spots. Curry will be fine despite all the naysayers.

agreed its good this is the rotation that we wanted to see in the front court and is going to make finding mintues easier

Curry/JJ2
Frye/Lee

Its going to be fun to watch a second unit of the following, even putting nate in there with q and crawford would be great for the uptempo game

Frye
Lee
JJ2
Q
Crawford
