If Isiah names Marbs captain it will show he just has no clue and I'm an Isiah supporter. How do you name the NBA's biggest cancer and worst leader captain? What does that tell our young guys? Sulk on the court and quit on the team and you will be doing what we want you to as as a Knick?

I'd just like to see 2 captains. Jcraw and Frye. They are the leaders.

The only guy I think I would have to see as captain is Craw. I can live with Lee, Frye, Q, even Malik as a co-captain.

In related news Larry Bird just named Stephen Jackson captain. When asked if Jackson sets the kind of leadership example he wants the younger players to follow Bird admitted that Jackson was not a good leader but that if he wasnt named captain he might shoot the team.

Proabably not to the liking of many, but....

I wouldn't be suprised if Francis was named a captain also.

Didn't you say you were gonna give Marbury a clean slate starting this year? If so, why can't the organization give him a clean slate. Last yr was an abomination.

For the sake of team unity, Marbury should be one of the tri-captains. I don't think Frye would rock the boat if he wasn't named team captain.

1) i gave him a clean slate. He dirtied the clean slate with his selfishness in the papers yeterday.
2) If you are picking a captain based on who wont sulk and cause problems if he is not named then you are rewarding bad behavior and penalizing good behavior. Thats why this team has been a circus the last 2 years. How is a guy that would throw a temper tantrum and cause problems if not named captain a guy that you want to name captain. A captain should put the team first 100% of the time. That is the opposite of how a captain should act. Team unity also is not gained by putting the 1 guy most likely to get in a fight with his teammates as your team leader

You forget that Marbury was following Isiah's directives. This was all to help build team unity, so he should be named captain precisely because of his comments to the newspaper.

You see, these Knicks coming together by complaining about last years coach and all the evil things he did to destroy the Knicks. They are building team unity by dragging their out-of condition teammates through drills. Everything is going just according to Isiah's plan.

Isiah is creating an environment where anyone wearing the blue and orange is flipping up a middle finger at the nay-sayers. They are out to prove everyone wrong. With that type of mentality Id be shocked if Marbs isn't named one of the captains. In fact, Id be dissapointed if Isiah didn't name Marbs one of the captains. It would go against his battle cry and his vision of team unity.

Marbury and team unity have nothing to do with each other. Never have, never will.
