Xbox Live is out and I will be on it tonight. Its gonna be awesome. Hey Id likke to play some of my fellow Knicks fans. How many of you people plan on getting Xbox live.

PS:This ihas to be best place for Knicks fans. I cant stand those idiots on ESPN who call themselves real fans.

I have 2k3 but I dont have Xbox live yet, I will let you know if I decide to get it but let me know what you think about it first. I would like to hear from someone has has actually experienced it once it is officially out of beta form. I am sure it will be cool but I want to know details. I have Optimum online and I am not sure if it will work with it or not that is one of the things that has held me back from getting it - that and the fact that my cable modem is in the basement and my TV is on the 1st floor. Let me know how it is though and I will look into it. Thanks.

One of the disadvantages of living in europe, xbox live won't get here 'till the end of March 03.

Ive played it but I havent gotten it myself. All I gotta say is, wow! I thought it was a simple hookup where peole can play. Well there a whole bunch of things. You can downlad new rosters, download new levels ( I wondered why it had a 10gig HD, but now i know why).

can you get yao ming in the game? I found out today that xbox live does in fact work with my ISP but I need to figure out where I would set it up and stuff. I have my xbox in my room right now and thats pretty far from my computer. plus if i move out from home i wont have broadband anymore so it might nit be worth it. but i want to play humans, playing against the computer is far too easy.

You need a router. It costs about $50-$75. It enables you to have broadband on both machines at the same time. Have a friend who knows how to setup one, do it for you.

I know how to do it, its just a question of where I am going to hide the wires - plus I would have to move my xbox to a different TV. By the way - do you use the regular controller of the new smaller one?

I have NBA Live and am in the process of saving enough money for 2K3. I'm definitely going to get the new smaller one for Christmas, and I'm getting XBOX LIVE around December, so I'll post my name then.

yeah man I think I am gonna go buy it tomorrow - I want to play some real ballers and not the stupid CPU anymore, far too easy to compete against. I need some real players.

I have it also but only have Mech Assault, you don't NEED a router, you could just get another NIC card which is a lot cheaper, but you'd have to have your computer on whenever you play on live

My biggest problem is that the closest TV is about 50ft away from my cable modem. I guess I will have to s[end the dough to buy some cable. SUCKS!!!

I had to do the same...some advice...BUY THE CABLE ONLINE! I went to stores and saw the 50 ft crossover cable for $50 at COMPUSA and $30 at Best Buy, then checked online, it was$7 with $7 shipping.

I thought I was the man in 2k3 but when i played others... uhhh lets just say im 0-3. Its alot different playing some of these guys. I havent got blown out but I didnt think that many people were that good.
