I hear the report is that he tore his ACL in a pikup game. Now in regard to the Knicks, I wonder exactly what the other compensation was for the Glen Rice trade. If it was tied to wins, this sucks for us.

From what I heard there was just another MILLION given to the Rockets for the Rice Trade. This should have no bearing. It was reported at first there was a stipulation about number of games won and it was decided by NBA this was not allowed. (probably for this reason) Soooo
the deal was the cash only from both teams.

I do believe you are correct about the reported money going to the Rockets. However, the stipulation not allowed by the NBA was for the number of games played by Rice...not the number of wins. Stipulation based on the number of wins is allowed (to my knowledge).

I just don't know if anyone other than the Mavs, Knicks and Rockets knows the exact specifics of the deal. I remember some writer reporting that part of the deal might have included preseason game arrangements with the Rockets and Knicks.

New York and Dallas each sent one million in cash to the Rockets. No matter how good or bad Houston does, this is what they got and i'm happy Layden didn't give in and give up a draft pick.

The Rockets got just what they deserved. They we're trying to extort us. We should not have given them the money, but I am glad Rice is gone. I feel badly for Mo Taylor, but the Rockets had one coming.
