Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here is what he said about Marbs:

"He needs to quit all the crying and step up and play"

Ewing is a washed up gosh darn pessimist.

I don't think Clyde is too impressed with him either. This is what he said last year:

Walt Frazier, the Knicks legend and broadcaster, was amused and flattered to hear his name invoked recently by the comedian Jon Stewart. Stewart recently told Sports Illustrated that the Knicks would not win another championship until Frazier was reincarnated as their starting point guard. "I had to think, like, 'What's reincarnated?' " Frazier said with a chuckle. "That was funny." He helped lead the Knicks to their last title, in 1973, and he seemed appreciative that fans "who are still suffering now" remember the good old days. Frazier noted that while Patrick Ewing filled the vacancy at center left by Willis Reed, no one has filled his own shoes at point guard. "Mark Jackson came close to Clyde," Frazier said, referring to himself by his nickname, "but they haven't really had a point guard to do the things that I've done to catapult them. They're still waiting, I guess."

Not even Mark Jackson. Clyde played D. The most solid pointguard on both sides of the ball since Clyde left was Derek Harper.

Clyde and Ewing are not real knicks!

THey don't have that rosey fresh outlook!

Clyde, Ewing and Mo. T are all shameful and by Dolan definition would have their contracts deemed invalid to have spoken out in such an insubordanite mannar!

I think Mark suffered on defense because of lack of quickness not because of lack of effort. MJ was one of the best leaders we've had in a long time. Good thing we gave up on him so quickly.

this should not be a Marbs bashing session. But I hope that somewhere in the guy he is listening to all these hall of famers, lowering his ego and understand that he really hasn't done anything to lead anybody. Put it this way. As big an ego as Kobe and Shaq and Nash and Duncan and Kidd and Latrell and Allan HOuston and all these guys have had do you ever see their teams implode like we have the last two seasons? All these guys have had rough years. All these guys have had poor seasons. But none of them have experienced the amount of absolute implosions that marbs has experienced. It has a lot to do with his leadership. When things are not going his way he has an ability to bring a team down into the abyss.

Again, not a bash. A criticism that can be fixed but only if the guy is willing to listen. I remember being taken aside when I first started in sales by my manager. He grabbed me and another employee and ripped us apart. He yelled and screamed about all the things we were doing wrong. We both walked out humiliated. I took it to heart and fixed everything he talked about. I did well. The other guy called him a jerk that hates him for no reason and is always out to get him. He never put together that his poor performance may have something to do with what our boss was talking about. Instead he whined and moaned every day about how mean our boss was. Again, I did well. 10 years later, he still isn't. Sometimes to improve you need someone to be "pessimistic" around you.

Well Bip, don't hold your breath. I'm 100% sure Marbs just thinks his critics are just bitches.

As for Mark Jackson, what difference does it make that he was slow, not that he didn't give effort?
Still sucked on D.
And as for not having patience with him, well by the time he left he was about 30 pounds overweight,
couldn't guard my grandmother, and was getting boo'ed off the court. So I don't blame mgmt for that.

Why Never?
When IT mafia will be gone the real NY basketball people can be back.
You would think Dolan is a main problem but Rangers turnaround proved that its all business not personal.
So it is always a hope.

Those guys are safe but the MSG Network producer that allowed those comments to be aired is history.

There is a huge difference. If I look across at my slow defensive partner and he is busting his tale I respect that. When I look across at one of the strongest and quickest guards in the league and he is getting toasted by back-ups and then trying to get them back offensively on the other end I have less respect. Ervin "not Magic" Johnson is considered one of the best leaders in the game and he stinks. But he commands respect because he gets the most out of his ability. Marbs is trying to command respect through his numbers. He thinks this should be enough for all to worship him. I'm just hoping at some point he figures out that noone but your fans and apoligists cares about your numbers.

He was slow because he was 30 pounds overweight. If he was trying so hard, he
should have been on the bike 24-7 like Rodman used to do to lose that weight
so he could actually move around on the court. Not disputing your point, just
that your example is not a prime one. I'd rather you used Charlie Ward, for example.
He busted his butt.

Mark Jax and Ewing are losers.

If they never won a ring, they are just like everyone else that did not.

I don't buy that. Second place by 1 game in the NBA finals is not a loser.
By contrast, 23 wins => losers. BIG difference. Can't just lump everybody into
one boat. At least we were proud to be Knicks fans then. Now,
Then we all had hope, at least. Now only a moronic few do.

Ewing is a washed up gosh darn pessimist.

Marbury's reply would be the same as what he said to Charles Barkley:

"he ain't ever won nothin' either."

he's never going to change... let's face it... don't pin your hopes on Marbury ever waking up & getting it all of a sudden... he is what he is... a selfish, me first type player who'll put up stats but will never elevate the level of the team around him the way other PG's like Jason Kidd & Steve Nash do... it's just reality & we'll have to deal w/that until someone out there's stupid or desperate enough, or both, to take him off our hands.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
