Hello my Knicks fan brethren. My band, Do You See the Dark, is performing live next weekend. We cordially request your presence at the christening of our new CD: Do You See the Dark.

We will be at Crash Mansion as special guests of the M.E.A.N.Y. Fest. There will be other special guests as well (including Darryl McDaniels a.k.a. DMC of Run DMC fame). The show is on Saturday, September 30th. We hit the stage at 11pm -- the cover is $10.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Sup guys... The show went well. DMC was pretty awesome. He got the crowd nice and pumped for our set. By the time we hit the stage the club was packed. We rocked it out and did some new songs so that was cool. We sold some CD's. We made some new friends. Then afterwards, there was an awesome night of various DJ's spinning Dub sets. I'll hit you pics as soon as I have some.

OK my UK brothers and sisters and newborns -- as promised, here are some pics from this weekends CD release of my band's new CD...

Here you got DMC rockin' the mic. It was surreal to see some of the Run DMC classics performed live in such an intimate setting. It was true hip-hop party atmosphere:

After DMC got off the stage we took over and brought the rock flavor to the joint. Here we go...

Cakes lookin' hot and rockin' the bass:



Over my shoulder shot -- it really captures how deep the crowd was. It was packed front to back. And trust me, having played for many an empty club -- it feels nice to have all that energy coming from a huge audience.



Here's a shot of me from the front:



Bino doing what he does best -- being the sickest rock drummer in NYC, that is. (The cat in the background is an ill DJ who spins Dub -- it was nice to see those cats were feelin' our music. We rock, but we bring grooves too. I think the hip hop crowd and the dub crowd respected that. The artists definitely did.)

Well, there you have it folks. That was the show on Saturday night. I hope that one of these days we get to rock out for some of you cats. I'll keep everyone updated and hopefully we can play another show like this. It was awesome to be in the mix with such excellent artists. It was even better to feel that mutual respect -- especially considering that we were all bringing something different to the show. Until next time, it's back to Knicks talk for me...

It would be awesome to do something in coordination with a UK get-together. I'm all for it.

And yes, there will be a video produced in the very near future. We had three camera guys filming the show -- so we're bound to have enough footage to boil down into a nice video for one of our songs. I keep meaning to hunt down LongIslandKnicksFan to see if there's a way us two UK-ers could collaborate on something cool like a concept video. I have yet to work that out, but when I get a chance I'm gonna reach out to him.
