strengths: our best shot blocker. can occasionally finish with authority around the basket. has a decent jump hook. can rebound decently. strong.

weaknesses: poor work ethic. lazy as they come. very slow. out of shape. limited offensive capabilities. gets into so much foul trouble that it limits his play time. looks like the village idiot when on the floor because of his suprisingly low b-ball iq. inconsistent on defense. because he is our best shot blocker, that is not saying much on this team.

strengths: ability to swarf down entire chickens in 1 bite... can give Kobayashi a run for his money if he ever opts for a career change... great at dishing out the quick foul... no one better in the NBA in this regard

weaknesses: the 4 years remaining on his contract

jazz, no offense but you are extremely delusional.

the only, and i repeat, the only strength Jerome James possesses is the fact that he is tall player on a basketball court.

In all truth I don't think Jazz74's analysis is inaccurate. When he is focused he does all the things Jazz says. My only concern is why Jazz74 actually spent time analyzing Jerome James.

I would like to change my analysis

Strengths: dunks over biotches, blocks biotches, dunks on biotches again, wears trash bag nicely

Weaknesses: That I dont' have a camera feed to his apartment so I can see him perform everyday.

Strengths: Huge size 7'3" 300. Surprisingly agile. Agressive shotblocker and rebounder. Has some post moves and shows flashes of being a good scorer.

Weaknesses: Negative basketball IQ. Is constantly overweight and doesn't work hard at controlling his weight. Content to live out a large contract. Agressiveness on rebounds and blocks leads to one of the worst foul per minute ratios in NBA history. No ability to pass out of the post or double teams. Will almost always shoot when given the ball. Not enough stamina to play more than 6-8 minute spurts. Turnover machine.

Bottom Line: James has the talent to be an effective player in the middle, but has not gotten better, and has no incentive to get better.

Vdesai: Nice analysis but I have one question. When have you ever seen JJ last 6 minutes?

The playoffs that one year.

But, good point. Even if he's not huffing and puffing, he'll pick up 4 fouls before he ever gets to that point...lets bump that down to 2-3.

My favorite JJ moment was the game last year(we all know the one). I beleive it was against Denver. James came out like he had soemthing to prove. Scored 11 pts and had 3 rebounds in about 4 minutes. Then spent the next 2 minutes begging LB to take him out. Didn't see much of James afterwards although I'm pretty sure he was heard out at the clubs that night complaining about LB's rotations.

Bip, i was at that game & i was literally speechless when i saw him go off those first few minutes... then he went to the bench & i don't think i saw him again except for his laughing face during every time out in the huddles not paying attention while the coach was drawing up a play.

^ that was truly awesome.

the 2nd best jj moment was the behind-the-back move on the break. someone had posted a clip of that - anyone know where it is?

p.s. his 3rd greatest moment was the new years party he threw.

I was at that game too and we were blown out. I remember saying during those 4 minutes though: "Yeah, it ain't gonna last though, I bet a million dollars on that." Too bad I couldn't have had Marv with me and too bad he couldn't have been really drunk b/c I would have been a millionaire by now.

assuming of course that marv could have ever paid off on that bet.

Now we all know that basketball IQ doesn't exist-however since that is a double negative(not having something that doesn't exist) does that make it a positive?
