What happens when / if he gets into it with IT? I can see the headlines now "Marbury: TRADE ME!"

Anyone think Marbs is gonna mix it up with IT this season and their whole "friendship" act will go out the window?

MARBS YELLING TRADE ME WOULD BE PRETTY FUNNY. How many teams do you think would line up to pay Marbs almost 22 mill in 2007?
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Who wouldn't want a guy selling $15 shoes on their team, right?!

The fans would but would the owners? Marbs is the peoples champion. The fans realize he is the best player in the NBA, but owners are about making money. Most teams arent giving out $22 mill a year deals anymore. Thats why I think we should have no problem extending Marbs contract another 5 years if we offer like 20-22 mill per year.

The ignore function would come in handy right now.

i think we may be coming into a great moment of synchronicity where the ignore thread and the ass thread intersect.

Pretty much what I've been talking about all this time.

Until SugarRay came along, I don't think I realized Marbury's status as an NBA Icon, top 10 all time player. I have seen the light. We need to extend him before he slips away to some other team. Six years $200 million sounds reasonable.

If Isiah reads this post and does just that, then I think we should put you on waivers and hope that you get picked up by a crappy message board.

Part of me would love to see it happen because you know there will be at least a handful of people here that would spin it as a positive. That would be entertaining.

200 mill is too much over 6 years. You have to remember he is getting old and the market has come down. I think his current 22 mill a year for like 5-10 more years would be enough

From what Isiah and Steph have said in the past they have argued before. Steph is tough enough to deal with arguing, just don't try to embarrass him in the press. Steph didn't verbally challenge LB, that was all in the press and not one on one. Steph really isn't that type of person anyway. He just plays and Isiah isn't like that on the bench either, he's not P. J. Carlesimo. Could it happen, sure, but I don't think its a very likley scenario. Isiah's not stupid, He knows that won't work with Steph and he can't trade him.

Joe, typical response to a fair criticism towards most Knick players these days. Pretty funny actually.

The more pertinent question is what happens when Steve Francis is not happy. He is more of a risk of causing a problem and demanding a trade than Marbury. You think trading Marbury will be tough, just try getting rid of Franchise.

My question is...how many times are we going to keep going over this? We've discussed this topic repeatedly on this board.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.
