No one started a thread on it so I figured I'd put it up.

Don is an offensive genius so if anything he will bring some order to golden state. I think that had to be their main problem. They have scorers but as a team they don't really have a good plan of a attack.

He woulda been good with this Knicks squad.

Nelson is a guy who knows how to coach offensive strengths and who likes scoring PG's (Hardaway, Nash)

I am happy that he is back in coaching. It was very classy of him to give up his coaching position so that he would be sure Avery Johnson had an opportunity to coach the Mavericks. Not many people would have done that. He will definitely be an upgrade at the coaching position for the Warriors. If Baron Davis can stay healthy (which is a big IF), that team should be much better this year under Nelson.

Don Nelson really needs to stop it.

You can't kick the habit, you know that. Basketball is a way of life. Once you fall for a sport and have played it you are drawn to it. I haven't played a serious game in two years since I tore my acl and I'm still talking about playing again. If I see people playing I gotta stop and watch a little. I gotta analyze the play in motion, pick out the guys that know how to play and in hind sight say "damn man he should have layed that up with his lefy!"

Nelson just got the bug. Dude would have changed the knicks forever if ewing and the rest of the guys didn't force management to fire him with a hearty 50 plus % in the standings.

another hof coach we ran out of town, lol! anyway, nellie is a departure from montgomery's dictator style that was riling the team. the team has some talent and with the backcourt of richardson and davis, nellie will have a good nucleus that could scare teams. this is almost tailored made for him ( veratile sf, run and gun backcourt, small frontcourt- except little used foyle). shades of run tmc?
