Spree for Rose??? I'm not sure. Rose is 1-2 years younger and his contract is 2-3 years longer (spree's last year is a player option). Spree is a better overall player than rose. Rose has the size of a 3, and can handle like a 1. I wouldnt do this trade straight up, others would have to be included. Othella and crawford possibly. Or spree/ward/knight for rose/crawford/fizer. Although if we want them to take on any other contracts such as ward/knight/othella, we would probably have to take e robinson to make it work out.

you are crazy.. this trade, straight up, would so be worth it. Rose is 3 years younger than Spree. Spree isn't getting any better, in fact over the last year or so, hes gotten worse. Rose is in his prime now, while Spree is on his way out. Rose is a much better shooter and he would give the knicks a lot more flexibility in their lineup. You can put rose at the 1,2, or 3 which will create mismatches.

A lineup of Thomas,McDyess,Nailon,Houston,Rose looks much better than Thomas,McDyess,Spree,Houston,Ward.

I'd do this trade in a second.

No hesitation on this trade. As stated Rose is younger, can play the point (probably would want to) and is a better fit at small forward. Imagine the matchup problems and height advantage with Rose at the point, Allan at the 2 and Nailon at the 3.

Lets also consider Allan Houston for Rose. Now that would be dynamic. Maybe throw in a lottery protected pick for Rose and Crawford. Houston would be a much better influance on the Young bulls, and more apt to accept the triangle offense. The Knicks would have to take the risk that Rose and Spree could put aside thier selfishness. I think they could since both are super competative, and want to win.

If I were the Knicks I would try to con them into giving up Chandler in the process. A couple picks and Thomas can be thrown in. Somthing like:

Sprewell + Thomas + Ward + 1st round pick
for
Jalen Rose + Tyson Chandler + Eddie Robinson

Chandler is as close to an untouchable on the Bull's roster as any player. He's going nowhere anytime soon.

you are ridiculous to think the bulls are going to give up any of young talent... they only want to get rid of rose, thats it, and they aren't going to take houston for him cuz the knicks only want to get rid of spree.

rose to knicks = long term salary dump, then spree to contender for junk (expiring contracts) and first and second rounders... and by the way, Krause is great at drafting... except for Caffey instead of Finley. But oh well. Krause sure is crafty though
