I like the team as is for the most part, but there are about 4 changes I would make for the '08 olympics.

I would add the following:

Kobe Bryant (Only need him the medal rounds when the games get tight. He's an assassin and ther is know one in the world I would rather have the ball than Kobe with the game on the line)

Michael Redd/Ray Allen (the current team has some guys who can shoot the 3, but they don't have any 3 point shooters)

Tayshaun Prince (I think he's a better fit than Battier. Does everything Battier does but better defensively)

Marcus Camby (The way Coach K has them over-playing the passing lanes, it has led to alot of penentration by the opposing teams. Having Camby back there to earse defensive mistakes would be nice. Plus he's quick enough to keep up with the uptempo offense.)

his tattoos would offend the chinese team.

Agreed with Briggs. In case nobody is noticing, we are beating the absolute shizat out of teams right now, and by the time the Olympics come, Wade and LeBron will be the best players on the planet and Dwight and Bost will be the 2 most dominating big men. No need to add Kobe.

Ray Allen will be too old by the time the olympics come. If we were to add Redd, he'd be just as good a vet/player as Allen when it's 2008 anyway.

Most of the guys we have now are kids and already awesome. Imagine 2 years. We will destroy the Olympics.

Shooting never gets old. Reggie Miller played on past olympic teams while he was well into the twilight of his career.

Besides I said Allen or Redd. Either one.

Kobe is the best player on the planet now and will arguably still be the best in 08. You have to make room for him if he wants to play. Thats like saying, the 92 dream team already had Magic, Bird and Barkley and there was no need for MJ.

Gotta say though, 'Bron is enough to make you believe that they're ok...by 08 I think he'll be insurance enough - but add Wade to that mix...and I agree with Allanfan, we got the two assassins that nobody can handle.

The us olympic team should not have a problem winning. Any team they out out there should be good enough to win. The world is catching up but the us still has the best individual players in the world.

This team works cuz they have a coach that has a very good style that matches the talent and the players look like they are playing hard and with pride.

All the league has to do is stay away from NBA coaches that went to north Carolina and too many players that need to be catered to in order to play. That includes everyone on the last few USA teams!

This team is easy to root for. These guys are young as a group compared to the other teams in the tourney[albeit we do have a tremendous talent disparity] but this has laid the foundation for the Olympics--and I'm really hoping they win it this year to shut all of these other countries up. They kind of brought it back to a college-type of environment. They are laying the foundation for a new dream team--the last few tournaments--everything was wrong--players coaching strategy cohesion etc.. we had the talent to win games--but the formulation and charatcter of the team was poor--kind of like the Knicks

I think the biggest hole is shooters, but they have enough talent/chemistry to overcome that

Wow this is a final four of the ages--all teams unbeaten. We're probably the underdog believe it or not, but I think they can do it

if our defense can play like it did today we can win it all, and i wouldn't expect us to be so cold in our next couple of games (hopefully).
