Dude those were some awesome seats. I was sitting right across from A-rod.

The yanks lost a very ugly game mostly on the mound cuz everyone they out out there got smashed.

I just want to give a real take on this a-rod situation. The dude hears every taunt and reacts to it all. Everytime someone shouted something to him he reacted. Sometimes he would even look into the crowd and shake his head. When he runs into the field to take his position he just is not comfortable he acts like he doesn't want to stand out there. Even when he came out to bat he looks into the crowd and reacts to what the crowd is saying. His first at bat he stared into the crowd and was smirking and shaking his head. Dudes were giving him the middle finger, but still they gave it to him cuz he was entertaining them.

When him and jeter messed that play up, if you look at the tape you can see jeter's frustration. At that point the crowd was already in a-rods head. A-rod didn't even move. He was trying so hard not to look into the crowd. Jeter was pissed. I never seen jeter react like that. He was calling it. Still a-rod should have waved him off.

Bottom line is a-rod is not in the game. The crowd is in his head. It looks sad seeing it up close. The fans are not doing anything unusual. they are just being typical. I just never thought he would react the way he did. To me he was acting like that guy in school everyone picked on. He just looked uncomfortable. He had that uncomfortable look, kinda like when you step into a room when you know you are not wanted.

Its kinda sad. I never expected to see him acting like that. He's not into the game. I have been to the stadium plenty of times with great seats and sat on the first base side with tino, out in right field with sheff and Paul o'neil and out in left field with Ricky henderson, matsui, etc. Those guys react to taunts especially sheff and Paul. Ricky used to turn around and talk back and entertain the crowd. Tino was heckled pretty hard when I was there and reacted but that didn't take his focus off the game. Same could be said of all that I mentioned.

Even when the bleacher creatures do their role Call, a-rod barely acknowledges them. Doesn't even look. Everyone else give a nice acknowledgement.

Its just a sad situation. I wish this all can work out but seeing him up close it didn't seem good at all. The crowd is in a-rods head. Big differnce in focus and intensity when Craig Wilson took over for a-rod when the game got out of reach.

Its just sad.

Its been a long time since I had been to a game in NY.

I can't understand the Heckling from NY fans? They want the team to win? They want to mess these guys up? Drunk power play thinking I pay for these seats so I can get on the players back to improve my demunitive status in the world?

I know the money is huge, but at the end of the day its baseball and they are trying their best to win. Heckle the opposition!

A-Rod is a good dude!

The crowed wasn't drunk at all yesterday. It was just typical stuff. No drunken tirades. Nothing ridiculous. Just random comments like normal. He just did not look good at all.

Damn giambi had to deal with the steriod talk the 2 season befor this one. Giambi never showed it on the field.

A-rod is just not a mentally tough player. A-rod is like the marbury of the yanks. Marbs doesn't react to the fans or media at the games. He feeds off it when they are on his side but he blanks it out when they boo. Marbs comes back the next day ready to play. Dude still is telling people he is the best point guard. He is promoting his cheap clothing like crazy. He is not afraid to show his face even after the lynching he took last year. You gotta tip your gay to guys like that. A-rod is not built like marbs. Remembering a-rod saying they couldn't get the wild card and they are just focusing on winning the division, how the yanks were not gonna catch the white sox? Jeter and posada to name a few quickly disagreed with that. Look at the record now.

I say their should be even more boos for a-rod. Its not about money cuz all the yanks are getting paid big time. A-rod is supposed to be the mike Jordan of baseball. The chosen one as corny as that sounds. If marbs deserves the treatment he gets from the fans and media then so does the yankee 3rd baseman.

No one would boo anybody on the yanks. Even clemans got the benifit of the doubt cuz he eventually brougt his game. A-rod needs to do the same. Until then boo him till he cries like a baby.

I can't agree more with this statement...

A.Rod is not mentally tough...ok, great...noted. but he is a heck of a ball player. Let the man focus on his job and do his thing.

hey, if the glove fits . . .

Mere mortals think the full quote for that is: "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit." But what we really know is fuller with truth: "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit, but if the f'in glove fits, you must convict!" (followed by a few air-jabs aimed just below the belt region)
