Looks like Ward might not be able to play against the Hornets this Sunday. Maybe Frank Williams will get some minutes. I know he's only a rookie but I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

I was kind of hoping they'd put him in after Eisley fouled out. Tough position for a rookie point guard, but from what I've seen he's a pretty good ball handler. Houston? Anderson?

i cant believe chaney... he didnt play frank williams!! he played eisley in the 4th quarter a few games ago over ward who was doing really well. his explaination.. i had to give eisley confidence. so what so different here? williams needs all the confidence he can get, by not playing it probably hurt his mentality. besides, i think williams would have done a better job than houston or anderson.. they are horrible.

I agree. Shandon threw the ball away twice down the stretch and now Williams probably will be even more nervous knowing coach Chaney has no confidence in him.

I don't know. Did you guys see the game? In the couple of minutes that Williams did play, he was less than non-effective. The D doubled/pressured him and he could find the open person.

I would think that Williams would get lots of more minutes in road games - away from the bright and focusing lights of MSG.

From the Daily News:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/story/34714p-32849c.html

But yesterday's practice had a surreal quality to it, with most of the Knicks relegated to the trainer's table. They were so thin that Chaney was forced to recruit assistant coach Michael Malone to complete a three-on-three team.

Malone, who attended Loyola of Maryland, held his own against rookie point guard Frank Williams, which may be the most depressing thought of the day.

Very depressing.

Well, it looks like he will definitely get minutes against Utah. I'm not expecting a spectacular night from him, but I'm hoping to see some promise.

I get the feeling Chaney was going to give Williams no run but then Ward got hurt and it seems there is some pressure from the NY Fans and media to put this kid in. Lets hope he can play and starts getting more minutes because Ward and Eisly definitely are not the future of this team.
