I don't get this trade. I thought Denver was lacking SGs.

Smith might be insurance for KMart and Nene. Both are coming back from major injuries.

LOL for a team that could make a playoff push I would think they would need more. Maybe they are thinking KMart is going out for a SG or a couple of them. Q/Francis?

wouldn't surprise me. I think that's the only realistic trade for Francis. though, I'm starting to warm up to idea of keeping Francis - unless he's made it clear to Isiah he doesn't want to be here.

Or they are clearing the deck to bring Bonzi aboard...

perhaps. I've been wondering who is gonna get Bonzi. Bonzi s&t for Kmart could be interesting. could make the Kings Western Conf Champs. I'm not sure it makes sense for the Nuggets though - they need shooters or a shooter and Bonzi kind of replicates Melo's game.

maybe they think Bonzi is more post-up while Melo operates on the outside.

Naaa, Melo can get hot, but I've always thought he works wonders when he's posting up and also taking those mid range Js.

I know this site loves other team's rosters, but Milwaukee is now worse than last year. The point guard situation isn't good. Mo Williams will be exposed as a guy who isn't a full time starting PG. I think they lost a lot of length/depth at PF/C. I think Toronto sold Villanueva at a high price after a surprising rookie year. He's talented, but I believe he'll prove to be unreliable.

they look like a well-constructed team. mo williams is a solid point guard, who will be more of a role-player/- a guy to initiate the offense and bring the ball up and not much more. same with blake. they have a great shooter, simmons is a good rebounding SF and can be a scorer, villanueva and bogut are the future and could complement each other very well.

also like the trade for the nuggets, and i think it means kmart or nene is gone (probably kmart). smith is a reliable PF that they can count on to fill in as a backup or a starter when nene goes down again

Milwaukee is going to be very tough competition for us when it comes to getting that 7th or 8th playoff seed. They really have a nice blend of scorers/shooters and rugged/effective role player types off the bench. Though not without holes, their D may be pretty decent too. Between them and Orlando it's going to be tough to sneak into the playoffs even if we have a big turnaround season and get up to about .500 ball.
