Now I'll start off by saying I hope Eddy lives to 125 and gets to play basketball for 15 more years. BUT, IF his condition prevents him from playing basketball ANYTIME soon, it's NOT an excuse. This is d9wn Larry's lane. they did the DD, they live with the end product-- and God forbid anything drastic happens to this man---it will be on other people's shoulders.
I don't get it... what's the point of bringing this up? There's been a lot of negative predictions about the season thrown out there but this takes the cake.
Why is that? Because the Bulls were ready to give him 20mm to retire? Because the NY Knicks cannot insure his heart? If they cant get insurance on his heart, it's for a reason. I want Curry to be healthy, I want the Knicks to succeed.
What I am saying is, I HOPE that the Knicks did MORE DD on Curry than they did on LB. It's kind of scary In Curry's case. I personally would LOVE for Curry to play great for 15 years. But I AM ALSO saying that there is NO more LB BS excuses. There is something to why Curry tires easily. Maybe he takes meds to control his heartbeat?
People really dislike hearing contrarion types of views. And I don't like going here, but it a piece of the MANGEMENT pie the fans have been put under. Eddy's cost to obtain has become tremendously high and I HOPE for a fact that he is NOT putting himself in harm's way or that they KNOW that the core piece we are building around is a ticking time bomb.
Is that an unreasonable thought process?
Briggs- bring this up if Curry is out of shape in training camp and doesn't at least look in shape at the start of the season.
I did not like the curry trade, and I did not like the LB selection, but there is a difference in what someone does in terms of due dili when getting a player with a medical condition and picking a coach.
The LB fiasco does not mean we didn't due thorough review of eddy's medicals.
In fact, LB continued a trend of IT picking HOF coaches that were bad choices.
Our new med person rejected some sf who was waived from the bulls because of a malformed toe. I forget who it was- and someone will surely remind me.
But, while I think the Curry deal was bad, I have a higher degree of faith that our med review was thorough. Or at least I hope.
I will be with you if he is out of shape in traing camp and the start of the season, though. And I think many here will be questioning his heart.
But its too early.
Go watch some football or baseball....
