Just watched the 1993 game 5 from the Knicks vs. Bulls series.
Man we had some bangers. When we had Mase in the game (over that worthless Smith)
we were TOUGH up front. Damn.
If we had a point guard who could do ANYTHING on offense, we would have won that
series. Doc Rivers and Greg Anthony were freakin' WORTHLESS!
But man, I almost cried watching Ewing, Starks, Oak, and Mase again.
It was like going home after 10 years in the desert.

Smith was miscast as an SF here. But having the 6-10 Smith on the frontline with 6-9 Oak, 7-0 Ewing definitely provided problems for the opposition. With Mason rotating in, that was about as intimidating as it got as far as a frontline in the NBA.

Wouldn't say Doc Rivers was worthless, but he couldn't penetrate or create from the PG position, and we had practically no one who could till Marbury got here.

Now Greg Anthony, when he was on the Knicks was flat out awful, especially early in his career. Would just dribble around for 20 seconds and not make a play. Also couldn't hit a J to save his life (had that weird shooting style as well). He got a bit better as time went on, and by the time he left in the expansion draft he became a much better player.
