Ex-Knicks big adds Dolan to MSG suit

Fired Knicks exec Anucha Browne Sanders is now pointing the finger directly at MSG honcho James Dolan in her sex harassment lawsuit against coach Isiah Thomas.
Browne Sanders' lawyers last week quietly amended the federal lawsuit they filed against Thomas and Madison Square Garden in January by naming the Garden chairman as a defendant.

Dolan is accused of being "an aider and abettor" in the alleged retaliation campaign against Browne Sanders after she complained to higherups that Thomas had treated her shabbily, calling her a "bitch" and preventing her from using players in marketing campaigns.

Until now, Dolan's role in Browne Sanders' January firing had been a backdrop to the sensational claims that Thomas, a married father, asked the team's former marketing vice president for sex.

"Adding a name to the lawsuit half a year after it has been filed only underscores our contention that this complaint is without merit and financially motivated," MSG officials said in a statement.

But Browne Sanders claims in the fall of 2004, MSG President Steve Mills told her that Dolan wanted her to create jobs for two cousins of Knicks guard Stephon Marbury - Hassan Gonsalves and Tasheem Ward.

"After reviewing their résumés and interviewing both men, Browne Sanders recognized that they were completely unqualified," the lawsuit alleges.

Both men were hired, according to the lawsuit. Ward is listed as a field marketing assistant on the Knicks' Web site.

The lawsuit also alleges Dolan had her create a job for Vernon Manuel, who was dating Dolan's daughter and had worked as his landscaper.

While employed by the team, Manuel forged his manager's signature several times, stole from the company and "acted in a hostile and aggressive manner with many women on the staff, including Browne Sanders," the lawsuit alleges.

oh well dolan and isiah are a bunch of idiots anyway, if they go down, even unjustly, I wouldnt be upset.

I hate Dolan with all my heart but the fact that Anucha added his name to the lawsuit this late is kind of puzzling. The bitch is just out for money.

I remember reading an article about Anucha and how successful she had been in her life prior to this happening. My guess is that the truth is somewhere in the middle and that Isiah will once again escape blame and continue to destroy and embarass the franchise. Dolan being added to the suit at this time does not seem very smart but it is nice to see him getting dragged back down with the mess that he has created at MSG.

The court of public opinion is not important, its a position.

Now if you gather evidence, or someone that can verify that dolan allowed this to destroy her career (unemployable at this stage)then it might be an interesting twist. Perhaps it was unsubstantiated about dolans involvment and now they have somthing.

It seems this group mainly sees her as not being a victim.

Dolan should be sued for messing with our team!
