what do you think of starting nailon at the 4 when spree returns?

c-thomas
pf-nailon
sf-spree
sg-houston
pg-ward

nailon is listed at 6'9" which is what harrington and weatherspoon are. this would give us a lot of offensive options on the the court at once. obviously undersized, we'll have a lot more scoring options now that even thomas has emerged as a double-double player. i just don't think nailons minutes should be reduced when spree returns if we are still looking to compete. he is looking good and seems to only be getting better with more playing time.

the scoring would go up, but I think the knock on Nailon is his D. As in no D. I think Harrington and Spoon are much better post defenders and may be better rebounds as well.

Personally, I am a Harrington fan. I think he seems like a good guy, he has some hustle in him - he just has some foul trouble and a few small shortcomings. Spoon on the otherhand...well I am not a fan, I dont dislike him but he isnt "Mr. Durability" and he is def not a PF. I dont think Nailon has the body type to play the 4 either..he may be 6'9 but he has a SF type body...I could be wrong but I dont think I am. Now...how about a little experiment with this big 3? Nailon 3 - Houston 2 - Spree - 1. I know Spree isnt the best when he is at the 1, but this team needs to do something to bring the entertainment level up.

Anderson brought the rock up alot last night, and houston did a couple of times too. Either of them are better handlers than spree.

Also - Houston had a couple of dirty plays last night, like knocking other people down, tough rebounding.

Nailon doesn't rebound well enough for a 4. It's worth a try but this might mean Sprewell is gone because they will have to find room for Nailon and Anderson, who are both playing well. Anderson has been hitting his shots, which is something he couldn't do before. I see us making a deal within this month to bring in Van Exel and Bradley or Stoudamire and Davis.

i wouldnt mind seeing houston playing the 1 so that spree could be at the 2 and nailon at the 3. this way anderson&postell&ward will get backup minutes and eisley wont play at all. but ya think chaney would experiment with the roster that much? i doubt he'd actually bench ward, but who knows, van gundy tried it.
