Jesus the season starts off horribly.. playing San Antonio 2 twice and @Miami in the first 10 games along with Denver, Cleveland and Houston?

Another wonderful start to the schedule. The Texas triangle at the very beginning. OUCH. That home stretch in December though is flat out sexy.

Im not feeling for this team with this roster. With no changes, and barring a break out year where Eddie or frye become allstars, im thinking we 11-22 by the new year.

I have low knick self esteem after last season, no starphuching, and the east improves again!

But Im still here, and its the games that count, not what I or anyone thinks.

Boy...this website is pessimistic. I say 5-5 after 10, 41-41 after 82.

Sat 4 Indiana > W
Mon 6 San Antonio > L
Wed 8 at Denver > W
Fri 10 at Houston > L
Sat 11 at San Antonio > L
Mon 13 Cleveland > L
Wed 15 Washington > W
Fri 17 at Miami > L

Ouch. That's a tough schedule to start the season.

Wed 1 at Memphis L
Fri 3 at Atlanta W
Sat 4 Indiana L
Mon 6 San Antonio L
Wed 8 at Denver L
Fri 10 at Houston W
Sat 11 at San Antonio L
Mon 13 Cleveland W
Wed 15 Washington L
Fri 17 at Miami L

3-7 to start the season. (and I was generous, picking us to win a game over either Cleveland or Washington at home)
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Yeah, Novemebe is tough especially the first ten. Hopefully, Dolan doesn't get an itchy trigger finger after the first month beacuse we might get off to a slow start.

However, December is very favorable with only 5 road games.

I think we can beat both Cleveland and Washington at home. If we can go 3-1 at home and 2-4 on the road and end up 5-5 after 10 I'll be happy (and im sure everyone else would be too)

does anyone notice we have no national tv games. NBATV doesnt count. I know we had an awful record, but how can the biggest media market in the world not have one friggen national game.

Second worst record in the NBA. Fans want to be entertained and watch a good product. Until we prove otherwise, we're not.

as bad as we were...were still the biggest media market...not 1 game on national tv....come on. Your telling me with all drama that goes on with our team, there arent people that are curious to watch us too see what happens.

That's what I'm saying. We've become irrelevant. Start winning and that changes.

Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish

Good teams don't care about the schedule, good teams play to win. We either win or we don't, the schedule excuse is of the lamest variety.

I'd rather play a team like san antonio early because you might catch them off guard- they started slow last year, it seemed.

Later in the season, teams start getting better- also miami- early part of the year, they had a slow start- towards the end of the year, they turned it up a notch.

I agree. Playing established teams early may be a good thing for us. Many of those teams coast the first month and build up as the season progresses. I think the Knicks have a chance, albeit a slim one, at a 5-5 November, which would be a good start to the year.

Last year we quit in almost a 3rd of our games. We got blown out every other night because we came to play every other night. The national channels don't want to risk putting a game on in which one team will quit playing 5 minutes into the game. Nobody wants to reward that. Once we start competing again and actually winning games everyone will be chomping at the bit to put us on tv. We are not ENTITLED to these priveleges because we are NY, we must earn them and our players must learn to earn them.
I just hope that people will like me

I understand it (TV schedule) but I don't like it!! Looks like Portland and Charlotte got the same treatment!! Later in the season, ESPN can add/subtract/change games. If the Knicks are playing well enough, they may make the national schedule a few times.
Still you'd think that they'd take a chance with Zeke at the helm and the guys having a re-newed/better attitiude about playing.

I agree with you Briggs and in most cases I don't give a hoot about the schedule. 41 home games, 41 away. Regardless, this is NOT a good team yet. I want to see if the Knicks can overcome this though. They certainly have not in since ohhh, 1999.

If this team has a winning season and makes it into the 2nd round of the playoffs should IT get coach of the year?
If not.. think he could get it if Knicks crack the 3rd Round of the playoffs?
