Thought this list was intersting. I had no idea Tiger was making $100 mil annually!

Carson Palmer hasn't done enough yet to be making what he is making either. Let's see how he rebounds from his injury. Could be another Chad Pennington.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I couldn't believe the two highest earning athletes were golfers! Everyone complains golf is slow and boring. Who's watching (and spending!) all this money? How does Phil Mickelson make quadrouple in endorsements what the top NBA players make? No one buys Mickelson shoes or jerseys!

For every one person who hates watching golf, about 10 love to watch it. I like to watch it now and then, and a TON of people go to the tournys, even the non majors.

true I was shocked when I saw his contract. Football players don't make that kind of money. he's another hit to the knee away from being the most expensive bust in history!

When you grow up, you won't wear jerseys, or sneakers based on your team. I own about 10 golf shirts, have two sets of clubs, three pair of golf shoes, and buy golf balls all the time.

Just retired from golf too. Played for 20 years and liked it most of the time, buts its boring and I don't care any more.

But, Phil endorsed accounting firms, freaking Tiger endorsed cars. How many athletes are doing cars anymore?

These guys ton it.

Suprised the euro soccer dudes who pull down 30 mil a year, or the F-1 drivers who also kill it.

Prior to last year..MJ was pulling down 40 mil and 30 mil in 2003 and 2004....

Not bad for a guy who hasn't played any real ball since 1998..

LeBron's making 24 Mil a year on endorsements compared to 4 in salary? Why would he stay in Cleveland? He can go wherever he wants. I see him either taking over for Kidd in a brand new Brooklyn arena or joining his boy 'Melo in Denver when he realizes that Hughes and Gooden aren't enough to get him over the top.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Golf appeals to the Majority of American wealth......... Middle to upper class, unauthentic, older white guys. Of course they make the most money.

Lol. The soccer market is 20 times bigger then the NBA could ever hope to be. The really good "euro soccer dudes" have a huge number of companies lining up to pay them.

Its sickening the amount of money these guys make. Its worst to think of the amounts these companies make to just hand millions to these athletes to pose in their gear, or with their product.

Do people really buy things based on the athelete that endorse it? I thought that was just kid stuff.

How about this: we have THREE of the top fifty paid athlethes in ALL OF SPORTS on this team, and we didn't even make the playoffs. That's just plain pathetic.

Who decided to give Jalen that big a contract anyway? It's not like he was ever a
superstar, or had potential to be one.

Also 2 former Knicks up there, plus should Antonio Davis and Tim Thomas be on that list, plus Allan Houston should potentially be up there too b/c he's still on the Knicks cap!

Golf doesn't have nearly as many well known names either, so the few stars get compensated very well.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
