This a player I would like to see with the knicks. He's a power forward which to me is better than rose, taylor. I try to packed these two in a sign and trade with cavs. The Cavs are looking at the lakers for Mihn. I think taylor could be better trade for the cavs. If he stays with the cavs for a year, I wont mine seeing Gooden in a knicks uniform in 2008.

do you like him better than DLeE??

If we start CurryJeffrye, then Gooden is your first forward off the bench?

How high is Isiah on Dlee? At the power forward? The dude can rebound, run and shoot. Gooden is a tough player who does not get the ball in Cleveland. THey don't even look at him!

Gooden is a good player. Quietly good. Clevland wanted him to be Charles oakley. Gooden got them a double double or close to it and its still never good enough.

Still I prefer frye and lee. Gooden overal is not that much better than them if he is at all.

Gooden is a solid player. But I think a bulked up D. Lee can be better and Fyre is definitely better on the offense end (although Gooden is probably a better defensive player than Fyre).
Trust the Process

People always say Gooden is soft but every time I look at a box score he has a double/double. He rebounds better than Frye for sure. I would take him over Darius Miles.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

He's soft on defense, not a soft rebounder. I don't know if it's true but I hear that personality problems are the reason he's traded every year.

Who would you rather have, Drew Gooden or Kurt Thomas? KT was regarded as a good defender, but I never really saw it. Gooden puts up similar numbers to KT.

I'd rather have neither and stick with Lee and Frye at PF. I always thought Kurt's defense was okay but overrated.

Kurt Thomas owned bigger guys. He would get the slap the ball away as the post player made a move or step in and take a charge, maybe even get a frustrating block or two......but that didn't work all the time. Kenny Thomas, juwan Howard, Toni battie, webber, rahim, walker, and anyone that can face up for that matter, lol. Still the dude definately played Big Z, shaq, yao, Jermaine oneal well.

Good point. KT probably had more trouble with the quicker PF's, and surprised some big guys when matched against them because he provided a different look.

Guys like Duncan, Garnett, Brand, and Ben Wallace own people on defense. Kurt was a nice role player but he didn't own anyone.

Yeah owned isn't the right word. You can only hope to contain those big names. They would still get their stats on KT buy they would have to work hard. Elton brand is one for sure. He gets pissed when guys think they are playing defense on him. I love Elton brand, lol.
