We need two bodies upfront. Eric represents the young athletic 4-5 which we lost with Butler. Voshkul represents the C who can do all the intangibles--the guy sets the best picks in the NBA, he actually plays good man to man defense--he's played in the up-tempo system in Phoenix and Uconn. Both are very CHEAP $$$$$

yes to Eric Williams, he'd be a great pick up.

but Jake Voshkul? no thanks. I'd rather give Frye minutes at center. Frye/Curry at center should be fine. mix in a little Jerome James in the event of an emergency and we'll be fine.

but Eric Williams would be great. I actually think he's a much better defender than Jackie Butler and maybe a better offensive player. Sign him!

I think that if they had Marbury's opinion on this, they'd pick up Voshkul. He's not going to play 30 minutes, but what he brings--we dont have. Marbury knows how good he plays the pick and roll and how he sets picks for shooters. He's the big man who does the things not in the boxscore. He's good for this team- 28 years old doesnt need big minutes, doesnt need to shoot, plays D, rebounds, sets picks, smart. If we play a 10 man rotation, then we can become suseptible to injury. Voshkul is a good guy to have with our guard-orientated theme. He helps gets those guys open shots.

okay. but we only have one open roster spot... I would love to waive Mo Taylor or Jerome James, but I don't see it happening.

That might be- or they are waiting for things to shake out-

Remember when layden held onto the MLE and ended up being able to sign Dikembe when the nets cut him?

It might be prudent to hold onto the MLE and see if anything opportune comes along.

I think at some point you have to find out if you can win with what we have...

Is this the same player that played for the Net then Raptors??? He isn't young I don't know about athletic. He was Ok with the Cavs.

I think he's more like 6'8 280. I wasn't impressed with him at all last year.
