Can you...

Name one player that had a rep for not working hard, being lazy....

Name one player that showed flashes of brilliance but never being concistant due to lack of focus/dedication/ DRIVE AND PASSION....

Name one player that has had that rep but actually turned it around to fufill his potential and become an all-star...

I Can't think of one...

So im worried about Eddy Curry

Curry is only 23, and he's a big man. Big men usually take longer to develop. The jury is still out on him.

A few players that come to mind:

Tim Thomas (Tools to be a perenial allstar)

Derrick Coleman (should have went down in history as one of the greates PF's to ever play the game.)

Shawn Kemp

Pearl Washington

When I think of more I'll post...
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

Derrick Coleman could have been the greatest PF of all time if he had actually cared. I remember how he was the one guy who would devour Charles Oakley everytime.

Bernard King was a Phuchup in college and his first few years in the NBA. Great Turnaround story!

Drugs took many players. Kemp, Washburn, Thompson, etc...........

Marbury's self absorbance has retarted his career thus far. No doubt about his talent!

Does J O'Neal fit the bill? I'm not sure if J O'Neal was lazy in his early years, as much as just didn't get too much of an opportunity, behind an extremely stacked roster.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

his work ethic was in question. He didn't get any minutes because of his poor practices.. from what I remember.

What about AC green? He had the tools and refused to use them too! God bless him!

Its tough to come up with names because it never happens. We either see guys that never fulfill their potential or the diamonds shine pretty much right away. Its why I get so frustrated at posters still claiming Curry is "potentially dominant". It pretty much happens within the first 3 years or it doesnt happen at all. You should be worried about Curry.

Not sure how these fit the question either. Diaw was lazy or just took a few years to bloom?? I think that's a different question.
