He's unrestricted this summer - why no noise about him? He'd be a great pick-up for us, or any other team. He's just the type of role player a lot of teams need, and it looks like he's available for less than the mid-level exception.

The roster is kinda messed up right now. With Frye, Lee, Malik, Curry, JJ at the big spots it doesn't make a lot of sense to add another guy, unfortunately.

If we were without Big Fat and Rose, then I would say yes.

I think Lee can give us most of what Evans can give us and then some.

No thanx!

Yeah, I think we should try to put Lee in that role and see how he does first. He's got good rebounding instincts so hopefully he can help us out in that area. Otherwise evans would be a good pickup IMO

I was very into signing Evans towards the end of the season, I made ALOT of noise about scquiring both him and Jared Jeffries. I'm still up for adding Jared but after watching Lee during the summer, I think Beast is right and Lee will fill the role of rebounder on this team. Now I don't think Lee is a great rebounder, Evans is still better than him, but it wouldn't be a smart decision to sign Evans to a contract to only do one thing; rebound when we got Lee who is young and learning pretty quickly how to board.

how about we sit Big Turd's useless arse on the bench & run this lineup for stretches during the game when Curry's resting:

C - Frye
PF - Evans
SF - Lee
SG - Q Rich
PG - Craw

that's 1 good rebounding lineup right there, w/the ability to run the floor & score in transition... just because we have a dead piece of meat backing up Curry at C doesn't mean we shouldn't look to improve the team's depth by signing a guy like this... he'd be a perfect fit in a Knicks' uniform... the only drawback is you'd likely have to sign him to the full MLE at max years, but tell me who you'd rather see on the floor, him or Big Turd? size deficiency or not, Reggie Evans is 3 times the player JJ is imo.

we got Taylor as well...

PG - Marb Craw/Collins
SG - Francis Nate
SF - Q Jalen/Balkman/Udoka
PF - Frye Lee/Taylor/Rose
C - Curry JJ

We need to move some for picks/cash/trade exception, not add a player unless he's a young solid prospect like Woods (!), Eric Williams, etc.

Mo T can sit on the IR all year... his only value is his expiring contract anyway

Jacki Butler makes more sense than Evans, financially, and BB potential but that didn't happen. So its hard to see Evans as a possibility.

Plus we all know that Isiah is stubborn and is determined to get more bang for Dolans buck from JJ.

The thing about free agents is that they want length in their contracts, so you're looking at atleast 3 years of this evans guy when you already have a younger version in lee on the roster...why not adjust your roster to the below...works better and we don't need to spend any money on a one dimensional player.

you don't have to set a certain lineup for the entire game... that was just 1 example of a rotation you could run out there when you need rebounding... against a more physical team that can also run, it might be nice to have a guy like Evans on the team to deepen the bench & shore up our frontcourt... it's not as if we have Allstars at the 4 & 5 positions right now... we could use all the depth we can get at those positions.
