Maybe this is old or not but I figured to let it known.
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

I don't understand why they would put Tmac. Especially since he didn't do anything last season.

What do you mean? He missed 35 games due to injury.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

exactly - why is he on the cover if he missed almost half the year, and his team did terribly? I think they should've put Nash, Dirk, or Kobe on the cover.

Well, I don't think he should be on the cover, but 'he didn't do anything last season' is a little bit of an exaggeration, no?

Of course, when he plays he's great, but the selection is a bit surprising since last year wasn't a good year for him compared to his previous seasons (he was hurt, production went down, team did poorly). I think if Wade wasn't on the 06 cover he'd definitely be on the 07 one - how come no lebron?

Isn't T-Mac the most popular NBA player in China? Either way, he's pretty popular and perhaps he's cheaper then Wade, Lebron etc etc

It could be a money issue -- the player gets certain royalties for being on the cover, I assume. Past that, it's really EA's decision. They could put Lavar Postell on the cover, technically... or nobody. Keith Van Horn was on the cover of a NBA game in '98 or '99.

I remember when they had the knicks-rockets game shot as the cover in 94 (i think). Yeah, i'm sure money had a big part in it, as well as tmacs popularity in china.

Yhe guy almost missed half of the season, and said he really does not know if he wants to play ball. There are several players that made the playoffs and had a good year that could be on the cover.

They should have put Isiah on the cover since he's helping the rest of the NBA by forcing Dolan to pay so much in luxury taxes

I think this is the case of putting someone that is always injured on the cover so it's no longer a jinx.

... or the fact that he's helped make the Bulls, Magic and Suns into contenders, gave the Spurs a piece that helped them win a championship, gave the Nets a very good replacement for the next 10+ years.

Isiah has many many teams in this league better in one way or another. He really does deserve the MVP. Most players only make one team better -- but Isiah makes lots of teams better, just not the one he's running.
