Eric Williams is better than any of the guys we drafted. He actually would have the ability to playbright now, unlike the two guys we drafted. He has lead the ACC is FG% two years running--he played with the Nets SL team avg 10.5 points 5.6 rebounds in only 17 minutes of play shooting 59%. He's 6-9 in shoes 285 and a 7-4 wingspan. Hes got very solid type athletiscm and played in a high tempo system in wake forest, he moves real well for a big man. Not really a shot blocker, but vastly under rated an nBA player for sure can fill in and put up numbers today.

if curry goes down, we have NONE zero nothing in terms of PHYSICAL back up that can mopve up and down. JJ [i guess?] would have to start? and we could play guy like Lee and Frye there--but we would then be SEVERELY undersized

if curry went down, Frye would become the starting center and lee would move into the 4 and that would create opportunities for MoT and Malik Rose to play, but for the most part it would be all quick, all the time.

all kool aid all the time.

playing for the SL doesnt mean you have a contract. Doesnt even mean you have a roster invite.

Briggs I agree, I thought a year or so ago, Eric williams would be a borderline lottery pick, the guy can flat out play, that would be a very smart move by IT.

yeah, I would put Eric Williams ahead of Jackie Butler, actually. he's extremely talented in the post and I think a better defender than Jackie. I approve of this move.

Would rather have Justin Williams for that last big man spot. A little thin (I'm not worried about that though - he'll put on some weight) but a good rebounder and a monster shotblocker (11 pts-11 reb & 5.4 blocks/game for Wyoming this past season - I know Wyoming isn't exactly UConn but those are still solid #s regardless of the competition - remember Kurt Thomas lead the nation in rebounding for TCU a while back and he also became a good rebounder in the NBA). And what else do you really want out of your backup 4/5 anyway? This kid's willing to do the all the dirty work. Not as strong as Eric Williams at this stage, but he's taller and would give us a nice defensive presence around the rim that we just don't have with our current bigs. I'd be really suprised if Sacramento didn't sign him though (Musselman, Petrie and co. contacted him to play for them in the VSL almost as soon as the draft was over - where the hell was Isiah with the invite????). This guy'll probably wind up be the backup 5 for Brad Miller and that'd be an excellent move by the Kings. He played well in the Orlando pre-draft camp and then in the summer league (in the game against us I think he was credited with only 2 blocks but I swear he blocked at least 3 or 4 of David Lee's attempts alone, altering many other shots. He was challenging everything in that game. Reminds me a lot of a Keon Clark, Theo Ratliff, John Salley....that type of player.

If by some reason Sac. doesn't ink him up, we have to go get this guy! If we just added Justin Williams and Qyntel Woods to this roster, man, I'd be ecstatic!
