I only caught the 4th quarter of the game so could someone fill me in on the rest. I really thought the Knicks would win this one. The Bucks don't have great big men, and Allan Houston and Ray Allen have matched up pretty well in the past. I guess our point guards are as bad as everyone is saying, with Cassel going nuts at the end. The Knicks didn't do a great job adjusting though and attempting to force the ball out of his hands. Nailon looked aggresive in the short time that I saw him.

Thoughts?

my take from the 400s

there are points where the supporting cast around houston knows he's getting the ball, will be shooting the ball, and likely will be making the shot. everyone hangs on the perimeter. no motion. just waiting for the shot to go up.

both pg's get to the 3pt line pull up and move to the elbow of the arc to make the dump in pass to houston for him to create his own shot.

any time one of the upf's get the ball in the post a triple team would roll to him, passing lanes would get clogged up. our remaining 4 would sit on the perimeter, no cutter to the basket for the easy dump pass and lay up. actually it seems as though lee nailon knows this works but no one else does.

nailon was very agressive shook tim thomas off the dribble. btw tim thomas is never going to live up to the hype. just sayin'. back to nailon, he can create off the dribble and post up and he looks to be as tall as thomas and harrington. nailon is going to need a few more games to be really productive but he's really our only other scoring threat outside of kt. they aren't all on the same page. they tried to run a triangle with nailon houston and eisley to create a post up mismatch but they botched it down the stretch and thats when it all blew up. they drew it up in the huddle and couldn't execute it. i spy with binoculars.

t.knight just had another rough outing. crowd gets into him when he gets touches and hustles. he almost reminds me of when people would chant for bo kimble.

the thing so far in the first four games that bothers me most is the rotation of players. houston gets no rest in the second half and has nothing at all in the tank during the last 4 minutes.

there was a point in the third where he could have sat houston and run eisley shanderson nailon spoon and kt or some similar grouping they could have held it down for say 5 min at least and then bring houston back for the run at the end.

frustrating to say the least.

and this is only game 4...if we keep losing like this it will create a snowball effect and this team will be awful.

Chaney doesn't have a clue as to how to use his TV timeouts. there were several occations where he could have sat Houston down for a minute and had the TV time out while he sat giving him almost a total of 4-5 minutes of rest.He would only miss one minute of game time action. Instead he just runs him ragged by the time the end of the game is near Houston can't get it done because the other team is over playing him and he is fatigued so he can't get around them for easy looks. He is not a very good coach.

thats why they gave him an extension, they arent looking to make winners out of this team.

it kind of sucks because we dont have much to look forward to this year, I dunno man - it has been a rough patch for my sports loving side. I guess they shouldnt try to win considering how strong the west is, but is is awful to watch my favorite team just flop like this - I know you all sympathize.

Only 58 more losses and Lebron is a Knick!!!!!
Next year we have McDyess... and we trade Spree for some nice fillers... THen we really have a team to be reckoned with!
I hope we lose now.. so we don't have to spend all these next few years trying to get something together...

It always helps to get a high pick. They can trade the pick to say the clippers for Olo or Odoms. Or trade it to Chicago for maybe a curry or chandler if the Bulls think they need to move one. High picks open doors for organizations.

It isn't a one man draft next year. Sure Lebron James is the prize, but there are others. The foriegn guy who is said to be the Eropean Lebron, Carmello Anthony probably will come out next year and just had a 37 point and 9 rebs in an exibition game for syracuse, and I'm sure some other good young guys.
