For a number of years now, I have been hearing how Michael Jordan was actually suspended from the NBA (just before his father was killed) for gambling problems. I've seen things like 'he was suspended by image conscious Stern' who gave Jordan a chance to take the retirement, rather than face public humuliation. I have also heard things like Jordan's father being murdered by people that Jordan owed money to.

Now I don't know if any of this is true or not, but we do know for a fact that Jordan has a gambling problem. Have any of you ever heard things like this before?
I'll never trust this' team again.

i saw Jordan at the Borgata last month chillin' w/Oakley, Ewing & Vince Carter in the high roller's pit... also bumped into Osi Umenyiora & LaVarr Arrington on the floor, & i welcomed LaVarr to the Giants... told him "you better kick ass this year!" & he goes "I gotchoo"
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I read that also, i *think* even bill simmons wrote something about that a few years ago, when MJ announced his coming back to the wiz.

I heard this when he first retired. Jordan gambling problem is beyond serious. The NBA has always protected his image.

Interesting... I don't know what to make of it, but that would certainly be a very interesting twist.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
